Hi all, Well, the final blog from our travels! I'm now sat in an internet cafe in the middle of a crazy market in Kowloon, Hong Kong, in between shops selling the highest-quality Kalvin Klien clothes and incredibly-reliable mobile phones (some even last for two days before breaking!). We've had a great time this past week - the last weekend was spent in Adelaide, including the wedding of Amy and Charles on Saturday afternoon/evening (for those reading who know them!). Howdy all, Update no. 2 from our Australia blog - don't worry, it's a bit more eventful than the first one! So, where do we start? Let's go with the Monorail of Death. Our last day in Sydney was the day after my last blog - we spent it mostly milling around, trying to do things that we hadn't done yet. My idea was to ride the Sydney Monorail, which rounds Darling Harbour (think Cardiff Bay but bigger). Hi all, Just a quick update on our time out in Australia so far... We've had a great time out here so far - the weather (after a dull and cold Cardiff-like start) has been great, and there's plenty to do in Sydney. We seem to have fought through the jet-lag now, although we did spend a few days falling asleep at 3pm! Hello all, The next instalment of my holiday blog... The last one was in a bit of a rush as I was racing against time in a Moscow Post Office - hopefully this time I can give a little more detail! So, my view of Moscow? Some areas are beautiful (Red Square, parks etc.), and the Moscow Metro is a tourist site in itself - Stalin basically spent loads of cash on making beautiful marble Metro stations, neatly forgetting the plight of his people... Howdy all, I have a whopping 10 minutes left in the internet cafe to tell you about what we've been up to in Moscow over the last few days... The weather has been crap! Raining pretty much constantly, and not just Welsh drizzle, proper rain! The only good spell we had was last night, when we took a boat trip down the Moscow river, pretty good timing really... Hi all, So, this is the start of my blog! Basically just making sure I know how to work this thing... I'm ready to go! I have bundles of Roubles and US Dollars in-hand, been jabbed full of infectious diseases, and have bought enough dried food to last a lifetime on the trans-mongolian train! So I'm pretty much there.
