The second edition of the Lao Elephant Festival will take place in Paklay, Sayaboury province, on February 15th, 16th, and 17th. Over 70 elephants will participate in the 3 days celebration of the country’s national emblem, the Asian elephant. Numerous activities will be organized such as an beautiful elephant procession, traditional shows, elephant training and mahoutship demonstration, elephants rides, photos and contemporary Art exhibitions by performers from Laos and Europe, shows and outdoors cinema, contests and more... Admission is free and Paklay is reachable from Luang Prabang, Vientiane or Thailand (Loei province).
