I'm writing this blog so people I know can see what I'm up to abroad. Can't seem to think of what to tell people about myself anyway; aside from boring facts & figures I think its easier if you just meet me in person! 😊 Please make suggestions for what you would like to hear about my adventures.

Went into deep thought on the plane from Marrakech to Barcelona. I set about writing the following (word for word). Please enjoy it, its not serious :) It seems lazyness has got the better of me during my recent weeks in Marrakech... I have felt no desire to update my blog & so let those who care know what I've been up to. I would like to think of myself as a responsible person away from home in that I keep in touch with the people close to me, but in allowing myself to do/not do whatever I feel, it is clear/I have realised I do not see this as a priority. Honesty wins the day yet again! - Be honest with yourself via your thoughts and actions before considering the opinions of others. This might ... read more

My first windsurf in Morocco was the best windsurf session I ever experienced, I went (normal) surfing for the first time that morning and the wind had been building the entire time. It really kicked in at 3 pm, I had an instructor come out with me - the waves were at least 2 m and a rather steep learning curve to say the least! I spent the next day surfing and headed back to Marrakech that evening as the forecast was pants for the next week. Plus, I wanted to go to the desert... I had an allergic reaction to some yet unknown substance with swollen lips, eyes etc after Essaouira, but quickly had it diagnosed and sorted in Marrakech. Would not recommend it! A crazy bus ride took us (Me, Mitch, Nadia & Liam) ... read more

Morocco is spectacular! Its been one week already and I can't think of where to start - that means it's been amazing :) So I started off in a hostel called Marrakech rouge which is right next to the old citys main market, D'jemma El Fna. Its been a great place to get my bearings with loads of other travellers passing through, so I guess now I'm a little more clued up on how best to travel here too. To sum up the first week: Sun-Wednesday: I explored Marrakech and took some pictures, got sick then better again (standard tummy troubles) and missed out on a trip to Essaouira because of that. It was great though with plenty of fascinating cultural experiences in between. Thurs-Friday: Finally went to Essaouira! Much less full-on than Marrakech with a ... read more

Hey Just doing a test run of the blog to learn how it works & post a little about my preparations for going to Morocco - not long now! So you might ask why Morocco? - Well a fellow windsurfer reccommended it for being super cheap & ideal for learning to wave ride. I'd considered (yet I still might do it) the idea of doing a ski season, but having been indicisive about exactly how I would do it (plus I already know how to windsurf, but can't snowboard) I looked up flights & found a one way ticket for £30! (Ryanair). Now I've always known that Ryanair are buggers for extra charges so I added everything up (inc price to take my kit) & it came to under £100 - still pretty cheap! I didn't ... read more
