Hola! The Baz Bus took me to a random petrol station and after an hour of searching Jim and Suus and Janis (the campervan) found me! We went back to Sodwana and hund out at the national park where they were camping. It was fab to see them and we had a great night. Unfortunately the weather turned bad so the dive in the morning got cancelled...and we hit the road to Swaziland! The landscape was gorgeous and we went through really remote rural places which was interesting to say the least. Cows in the way, rough roads and not many road signs..however there was some ladies selling great corn on the cob for 3 rand along the road, awesome! After a really long drive and a fairly non dramatic border crossing we were in Swaziland. ... read more

Hola! This happened back in the beginning of November but I havent had access to the internet so I am adding entrys now... So the last thing i did in Storms River was going on that horse ride. It was good fun apart from when the horses escaped...but luckily we found them again a bit further up the road. I then tried to get myself to Durban as qhick and cheaply as possible..it proved pretty tough. After many phone calls and dramas I managed to get a ride by two dutch girls to Port Elizabeth. We had a pizza (a very good one I might add, and it was even without chilli?!?!) on the Boardwalk which is the touristy marina kind of place and then they were sweet enough to let me stay in their house. ... read more

Hola! So I caught the Intercape bus at 6am from Cape town and many hours and gorgeous scenery later I arrived in Wilderness (well there is no bus that goes there so i had to get off in George and get a taxi..). The weather was beautiful and I stayed in a little backpackers right by the beach. My balcony had the most amazing view and the first time I looked out there were 4 southern right whales basking and playing in the sun right near the beach, brilliant! If anyone is a birdgeek like myself they should go to Wilderness! The birds are so many and they are beautiful! I did a few trails and met a lot of old people...of course forgot my binoculars in the backpackers..but it was a good day or two. ... read more

Come on South Africa - hurrah!! Cape town is just as beautiful and amazing as I remembered! The weather was bad before I arrived but as I landed the sun came out and I had some gorgeous weather! The week and a bit went far too quickly but I managed to do lots: Scenic drive down all the way to Cape point passing everything from Hout bay, Noordhoek, Kalk Bay and Simonstown. We also managed to fit in some sundown drinks in Camps Bay. I have had a few beers on sunny roof terraces relaxing with a book, walked around gorgeous botanical gardens and nearly killed myself climbing Table Mountain... It was suuuuuuper hot and no one else was out walking. I took a different route than planned and ended up climbing for 5 hours and ... read more
