The spring came very late. March 2006 was mostly cloudy and rainy. But there were few days without rain and even worm. Those days where perfect to have 3-4 hike to Mt Diablo falls. Yes there three waterfalls on Mt. Diablo. The hike is a nice 5 mile loop. It is perfect for early spring hiking when Yosemite is flooded. Getting there: From CA 24 or Interstate 680 in Contra Costa County, exit Ygnacio Valley Road (at the 680 split).
