hola!!! I'm glad you are doing well out there! So mad I missed you when you came back! When are you visiting? I want to make sure my son/daughter sees their tia! Happy holidays. Love you
COngrats I am really happy and inspired by you to travel around the world. FYI, we booked our wedding date for June 26th, 2010. I really hope you can make it, but I will understand if life keeps you in Asia. Please do all you can though because it would just be weird without you at my wedding you know? Anyway, have a great time out there and we miss you too!
Hi there Bravo, girl! Life is too short to waste. You came, didn't like it, you left. No sense agonizing over it. HK is just a short train ride away, but it is so full of life. A bit expensive though, though it used to be a shopping mecca long before you were born ;).
Hurry up with your stories! don't make us wait too long [:)]
What a scare! Whenever I'm in some foreign country where language is a problem, I always have anxiety attacks about forgetting my hotel's name and location. Getting lost will freak me out, as it did you. So, how are you doing now? Must be nicely settled, what with that lovely apartment and superb location (read: near Starbucks and the mall). Good luck to your teaching......let's hope Camilla and Massimo's parents are not reading this. Lol.
Glad your getting settled in! Hey kiddo, looks like you landed in a pretty sweet area of China! Nice pad! I think things are going to be a blast, I have a really good Pinpsler mandarin chinese course I can hopefully get to you, that will help, it's actually REALLY great that nobody speak english around you, be forced to learn chinese is about the only way anyone learns it. I wish I could zip over there and hang out , we'll see where we're at over the winter, hopefully we can meet up in Thailand. Good luck and give me your phone number so I can call you.
El! I am so glad to finally hear from you!!! This experience sounds like it will be filled with (to us) random adventures :) I knew I could count on you to find the closest (and apparently the fanciest) Starbucks!!! jajaja... And ok, your apartment is beautiful!! Are you going to be keepin up those shiny floors?? jiji... Do you live with people from your program or sola?? And it is a block from a mall - how is the "Made in China" situation treatin ya? Have you bought more little teeeny tawny shorts MiC?? jajaja I can't wait to hear more updates!!!
lOve,
Heather
PS maybe you should pick up a few of those bug catchers for your dad - something that won't electricute your friends ! jaja
PPS Maybe take this time to try that weird food - develop those taste buds??? jiji (you know i would ;) )
This blog is for anyone interested in what I do in my spare time while living in Asia...TRAVEL. I moved here in 2009 from recession-torn Los Angeles in hopes of 'finding myself' ..as most people in their early 20's long to do... Six years later I'm still lookin!
Currently, I'm living/working in Hong Kong, funding my adventures with a career in wine & spirits...yesss, a recession-proof industry!
Hong Kong is a great city to live in and a great take-off point for #Asianvacations...So join me on all my little adventures in and around Asia... traveling, living, exploring and learning. ... full info
