DAY 1: I left Jersey today at 7:30pm after saying goodbye to my girlfriends and my parents at the airport. I was so nervous, but so excited about starting my journey to Africa. (Picture 1) I flew British Airways to Gatwick and had an over night stay in a nearby guest house. I could not sleep a wink as I was so excited and buzzing about stepping foot in Africa! I repacked and unpacked and replaced my case, shifting things around and putting things in new pockets and when I was finally happy, I eventually nodded off to sleep. DAY 2: I set an alarm for 7am, and jumped straight out of bed. Finally I was going to Africa! I packed up my stuff again and loaded up my rucksacks and went downstairs for breakfast. I ... read more

DAY 1: I left Mum, Dad, Beth and Grace on Tuesday the 16thof July from Disney to catch an internal flight from Orlando to Los Angeles. I was extremely excited about the break, but very nervous. I was about to join a large contiki tour of 56 people from all over the world. Getting from the hotel to the airport was easy and ran very smoothly, getting to security was easy and I noticed the old couple in front of me had the same boarding card as me, so I was hasty to stalk them all the way to the gate. The plane journey was also fine, although very turbulent, was arrived in Los Angeles within 5 hours. I got off the flight waited for my bags and went quickly around to the hotel shuttle, and ... read more

DAY 1: I flew to Gatwick on the Thursday morning for our long weekend away, I got the red eye and made my way to central London. I met Gracie in Waterloo Train Station where we sat and had a catch up for a few hours until our train to London Luton. We boarded the train to London Luton and it was very easy to get there. But we still had a few hours to kill. So we decided to change our currency. In Poland they use the Polish Zloty which we knew nothing about. I had excepted to exchange £300 to Zlotyz, however we were advised otherwise and both took out £100 which was 500 Zlotyz. We then boarded our flight about about 5pm and were on our way. Both of us had taken hand ... read more

DAY 1: The journey started at 6am on the 21st of August 2012. We had booked everything months in advance and had started planning the holiday in Jan 2012, lots of important things to get right. We left Jersey airport and our flight, the red eye was on time, leaving at 6:05. We collected our luggage after the flight was and we caught a bus up to Heathrow for our next flight. After an unnecessary quee and a long coffee, we checked in and over through securities. Heathrow airport isn't as nice as Gatwick or as nice as we expected, but we made the most of it and particularly the posh watch shop, where I tried on some Omegas and Rolexs, stunning things! One was £20,000 - crazy money! Our flight was eventually called at 5pm, ... read more
