Well the past month has come with some amazing up and some downs at points, but all and all its been an amazing trip so far. The trip has gone from what i thought it might be to what it has become, which is no where close to what i though it would be. For the past month really i have been volunteering at a hostel localed in the fortuna cloud forest located in the Chiriqui province of Panama. This eco hostel i one hour outside of david and around 6 hours away from Bocas del Toro. So i finally made it down to panama and i am now starting to move around. Though i have only made it to my second city in one week ill be here for a while and i am loving it. Traveling by yourself has its ups and downs but mostly there are all ups. You meet so many people who are moving around and you just become good friends with them and learn so much about them. I have never spent a day by myself or really been alone for a while. When i arrived in panama city, panama. It was a long trip to get there, so i was so glad to be there. Well when you are leaving on a trip you can usually figure out who your true friends are before you leave. The way this has been perceived by me is that they put out the effort to want to hang out with you as much as possible before you leave, and make sure that you have an enjoyable time. This was very relevant last night as I had a going away party just at a local pub. The friends that I was hoping would show up all showed up and just made it the most enjoyable night. Today i finally picked up my ticket to fly down to central america on jan 31st to start my next traveling experience. I will be backpacking around central america and maybe venture down into south america. This has been a long road though full of some hard decisions and lots of sacrifices. I really had to decide if i was willing to lose the job that i had here in vancouver, and actually do justice to central america, or go on a short trip and ensure that i didnt lose my job and not do central justice. I decided that i wasnt really happy living my life and was extremely bored here at home, which made the decision making process all that more easy.
