Yesterday during the day, we didn't do all that much, just looked around the city and updated my blog which took ages, so I hope you guys appricate it!! Last night we went to the famous Neighbours Trivia Night in St Kilda, and I have to say it was fantastic, if you're ever in Melbourne on a Monday night, I would recommend going. There were 50 teams and guess whose team won $200 cash? Yep, ours!! We met Ryan aka Toadie, Kyal aka Boyd and Carla aka Steph. They were all down to earth and lovely to talk to and we made sure we took lots of photos! Another highlight was Dr Karl Kennedy's/Alan Fletcher's band Waiting Room playing. There was an amzing atmosphere and a brilliant night.... read more

Usually I update my blog after I leave somewhere, but today its the 19th March, so Dad and I thought we'd let you know how the Grand Prix was. Collecting Dad from the airport was brilliant. Even though we speak to each other at least once a week, we still found loads to talk about, so it was quite a late night! The next morning I dragged Dad along on a neighbours tour, but he atually enjoyed it. We went to Eringsborough High, and Ramsey Street and the highlight was meeting Alan Fletcher aka Karl Kennedy. Tonight we're going to a Neighbours night in St Kilda for a quiz, but I don't think dad will be much help! We also get to meet some more stars of the show there. We then decided to go and ... read more

This is the tour I went on from Adelaide to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road. It was with Groovy Grape Tours and was amazing!! The first day we did lots and lots of driving, but overnight we stayed at the Grampians National Park. In the morning we did an hour hike and the views from the top along with the early morning mist were fantastic, there aren't any words to describe it. Then we drove a bit more and finally made it to the Great Ocean Road, and saw some really super views. We spent the night right by the beach, although the sea was a bit too chilly to swim in! In the evening we went to see the Twelve Apostles (there are now only 9, they keep falling down!) at sunset, and although ... read more

I leave Adelaide tomorrow to go on a tour down the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne which I'm looking forward to. Adelaide has been good, I didn't really do much, just spent lots of time on the beach and wondering round the city. My youth hostel was a 30 second walk away from the beach and a 1/2 tram ride from the city. This morning I moved to a different youth hostel in the city because that is where the pick-up is from tomorrow. I wish I could have spent a bit longer here so I could visit Kangaroo Island, oh well maybe next time! Dad is flying out in less than a week which I'm looking forward to (especially as he's paying for everything!). I haven't had chance to up-load any photos yet, but will ... read more

Perth is a fantastic city, I love it! I spent my first two days sat on Scarborough beach doing nothing at all apart from sitting in the sun and swimming in the sea. And I didn't get eaten by a shark (although on my first day something did decided to nibble my toe, but I was brave and did go back in the sea after that!). After my time at the beach I went into the city for one night and then it was off to Monkey Mia with Planet Perth, another fantastic tour company! Our first stop was the Pinnacles desert where hundreds of sandstone formations sit in the most yellow sand. On our first night we went to see Natures Bridge at dusk and we saw loads of wild kangaroos which was pretty cool, ... read more

I'm leaving Alice Spings today, but I have to say I have had a great time. I think if I spent any more time here I would be a bit bored, as like Canberra, there isn't all that much to do. Here was time for my first tour and I loved it!! Mulga's tours is fantastic andI would recommend them to anyone who wants to visit Uluru. We did a 3 hour hike thorugh a place called Kings Canyon which was hard but well worth it for the views. As you can see from the picture I have my lovely fly net on, and that went on as soon as you woke up in the morning, and stayed on until the sun went down and the flies disappered. I have never seen so many flies in ... read more

I have spent 3 days in the Australian capital and it was good, but the city as a whole is very quiet and there isn't that much to do. I left Sydney on the 17th, and caught the train to Canberra, but arriving here on the weekend was wierd, everyone seemed to have disappeared! The next day I visited Parliament House, Old Parliament House, wacthed the Captin Cook Memorial Jet for a while, went to the National Library and the National Gallery. They were all interesting places, but you couldn't (well I couldn't) spend much time there. On Monday I went to The Royal Australian Mint, where I got to make my own $1 coin! I then visited the War Memorial which was alot bigger than I thought it would be and again was quite interesting. ... read more
