I am so very prou of all of you!! The love andHappy I see on the faces of the
students and teachers should be how our Governments should relate, An old quote of my mother, "Oh the world should receive lessons of love from children, if they did and practiced them, there would be more laughter and less wars."
There have many praying for this beautiful adventure you are experencing. Can"t hardly wait to hear more and see moe of the pictures of great number that have been taken. God has blessed this labor of love & peace. Travel safe--see you soon.
Love & prayer always
Congratulations! I have been reading your blog eagerly. It sounds like it is a wonderful experience and a great beginning to a bridge! I'm really proud of all of you and the work you are doing. Who knew in public education you could impact a group of kids half way around the world!
Let the teaching begin! Thank you for blogging - I enjoyed reading about this adventure - a worthwhile trip! Even though there was a language barrier the students seemed so excited to have you all there! I'm sure everyone benefited from the experience!
So Exciting! Hi Friends! What an amazing adventure for you and the kids! It's such a blessing to educate internationally and I can't wait to hear all about it when you return. So happy for all of you!!! :)

Hello from home! :) Thanks for the updates. I am enjoying hearing of your adventures. Sounds like the sights are amazing and the kids are a joy to be around.
Special shout out from home to Jen! :)
How exciting! I love seeing all of you in the pictures! So glad the kids are seeing that their input is important in learning!! Enjoy :) A group on H.S. teachers and Bauerwood teachers have also been together this week, and are just finishing a class at Kentwood H.S. We've had a great week learning about bullying, defiant behavior, and motivating students to read, especially through vocabulary! All of our groups will be ready to light the kids on fire this year!! Not literally!! Keep up the great work in your corner of the world! :) Carey

Will follow your two weeks reporting with great interest. My son and daughter in law have made 3 or 4 trips to Haiti installing water purification systems. Two grandsons have both worked in Japan and studied there so I will find it interesting and informative to hear of your teaching in China. Hi to a great guy, Grant:)
Departure Emily thanks so much for the update. I'm looking forward to following your blog. I was tracking your flight and was so sorry to see you were delayed but glad the flooding subsided before you got to Beijing! Looking forward to your next post take care and sending everyone my best!

May you catch up on jet lag! Hi Grant,
Thanks for the quick response as I know you were getting ready.
I am not sure what your communication arrangements are but would believe you have a i pad or equivalent. I will drop a line anyway.
First , I will support all of you through prayer and daily thoughts while you are there. (I do know the time from Emily's blog)
Certainly in Beijing you are in the center of the most active city on the world with their 20 million population. Maybe they rank 15-16th? The Chinese people ove their Beijing.
I did read Emily's blog post so do know the object and parameters of your trip. A great enterprise to be sure. It should lead to many years of connections with the school there at least. I have dozens of China students that I still correspond with and their teachers. I met many wonderful people there. I also have a director of ELIC that I keep intouch with there in Beijing at the MacClellan Center.
The group I was with was the ELIC (English Language Institute for China ) out of San Dimas CA, that has hundreds of teachers both summer and year around teaching in many places in China as well as the far east (Nepal, Mongolia, etc) . It is a non denominational organization with a great support arm. I taught in the city of Changsha in Hunan Province.
I'll keep this short to see if you have time to respond as I know how busy they will keep the Americans when they are there on a teaching basis. That zone is a heavy indiustrial area so I hope the air is decent while you are there. Enjoy the food, the people the customs and the children of course. I am sure you have been told of things to be careful about.
God be with you each day.
Blessings,
Jim
