Pakistan to Iran - From: My trip...
Your itinerary sounds good though I would note a word of caution on the movement from Pakistan to Iran as the Iran-Pakistan border is known to be a lawless region where neither state's police have much jurisdiction and there is a threat of hijack. Also there's the problems in western Pakistan http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090817101552AApjzZk Also trying to use Majan Air (Iran's national carrier) to fly into Tehran is also risky as due to the UN sanctions the airline is not able to properly maintain its fleet.

Bum parking in the temple - From: McLeod - Dalai Lama Teaching
Good luck Michelle finding a space to sit, lots of people stake their place days before! Though for your info I found that the teachings could be picked up from the balcony of Khana Nirvana (though you might miss some of the stuff like bread being given out, don't forget to wait till its blessed till you eat it, also its not compulsory to drink the butter tea!)

Sickness - From: Recovery, planning, confusion...
Personally, I would love to visit Pakistan. But the little I saw of India was very interesting. I know it is very far away, but if you do get as far as Mumbai or the little village of Paud, I could contact my friends to see if they would show you the children's home for the children taken from the red light district (in Paud) or visit the slum clinics in Mumbai. Hope you get some clear idea of the next move. But staying still for a while to rest can be no bad thing. Love Louise
