Hey sorry about the late blog we just got quite bored so we will try and remember it from when we went. anyway we have never been to such a busy chaotic place, we flew into Vietnam from Laos to avoid the 24hour bus journey from vientiene which was nice but a bit dodgy (it had propellers instead of jets) i was shitting myself when we had to land and the plane was sliding down the runway, so from the airport we got onto a shuttle bus that took us to a "fake" part of Hanoi where the hotel names are copied from the lonely planet but in a totally different place (another common scam we fell for). so we ended up catching a taxi to the backpacker district and were hounded to go into their ... read more

Hey :) Seems like ages since we have written a blog, too lazy I think! We left Chaing Mai a couple of weeks ago, crossed the border into Laos and then caught a slow boat with 10 other travellers along the Mekong River to Luang Probang (this took 2 days and we stayed at a little village on the way). The trip was awesome, we had a bar and bathroom on the boat and heaps of room to loung around. The scenery was amazing as well. Luang Probang was such a nice city, has great buildings from the French occupation and really yum food. We stayed at a cute little guesthouse and Eddie spent a lot of time teaching the boy who worked there English using his PSP! The boy thought it was fantastic, he couldnt ... read more

Hello everyone, Thailand has been a very crazy place so far, everybody drives like my old boss Dave, down one way streets, through red lights wrong side of the road etc. its a nightmare trying to cross the road we just try to avoid it but if you have to i just grab katies hand and drag her along scared as hell, what have we been up to since the last blog? we decided we would go on a trek which was great, we saw heaps of great landscape and made a lot of new friends, the first day was a real challenge the hills were so steep and the downhills the same, it was defiantly not what we were expecting at all, After the first days trek we stayed at the karen village which also ... read more

Hi everyone We arrived in Bangkok and both found it pretty scary! We were dropped on the side of the road at 11pm with no idea where our hostel was and a million Thai people around us. We eventually found our hostel which was quite nice - it had a pool so that was good :-) On the first day we managed to get scamed straight away - the tuk tuk driver definitely saw us coming. For all first timers to Bangkok do not get in a tuk tuk on Khoa San Road!!! He took us to every place but where we wanted to go - tailors, travel shop..... we eventually just paid him a fortune to take us in the vicinity of where we wanted to be...
