Looking out from the reception http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Indonesia/Bali/Kuta/blog-454323.html Bali for 7 days Its holiday time once again for me Irsquom off to Bali for 7 days with Lisa Jenny Jennyrsquos sister Christine. We got really cheap fares to Bali with Air Asia when they first started flying from Perth to Denpasar. As this is my 3rd holiday this year the girls agreed to go lsquobudgetrsquo so after lots of searching on the Internet I came up with the Tegal Sari in Ubud and the Kuta T http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Indonesia/Bali/Ubud/blog-454141.html Hanoi Whilst in Hoi An poor old Issy was never all that well. Her toe that she injured on the slide at the Mekong hurt when she had to walk so she had a bandaid on that and I was still putting detol on it each evening. Couldnt wear closed in shoes so had to wear Sam's trendy bright green hairy thongs and generally was a little on the whingy side. We had a dreadful flight from Danang Hoi an to Ha http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/blog-423077.html Hoi An Hoi An is still one of my favorite spots in Vietnam. The town is rustic and very quiet compared to other citys. They don't allow cars in the main area of town and there are only a few motorbikes. Lots of nice restaurants food reasonably cheap beer cold and we found the best lime juice of our holidayThe kids all had some clothes made we went back to the tailor To To they made Sam's shorts fr http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/South-Central-Coast/Hoi-An/blog-423055.html Mekong tour with Jason Jason our tour guide picked us up on time and was the same driver as last year in the van. Unfortunately it is abit on the squishy side and hot in the van with the 12 of us and our luggage and Jason and the driver they have the best spots Didnt take long to leave the city and our first stop was Cai Dao temple. Its a multi religion budhism hindu catholic taoist confusiousism and I think http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/Mekong-River-Delta/Can-Tho/blog-423051.html Walking tour of Saigon and Dam Sen Water Park Found out this morning that Phil has passed all his exams 7 and four with distinctions. So very proud of him That light at the end of that tunnel is getting closer....I can just about touch it Today is a walking tour of Saigon. Len has the squirts so he is not joining us he needs to be close to a toilet The plan is to head down to the river walk along the river and back towards the reunif http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/Southeast/Ho-Chi-Minh-City/blog-417570.html Good Morning Vietnam Well it was an awful long wait at Siem Reap airport even if it was business class lounge We were the only ones in the lounge. Forgot to tell you about a incident that happened on our last day in Siem Reap so very quickly before we get onto Vietnam I'll quickly tell you about it. During lunch on our last day a young girl probably about 10yrs tried her best to sell us some bracelets but we http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/Southeast/Ho-Chi-Minh-City/blog-417417.html Siem Reap the last two days We decided to hire tuk tuks and go out to the tonle sap Lake to see the floating fishing village the silk farm and the cambodian landmine museum.Well I didnt do my homework very good this time because I had no idea how far it was from one place to the other. We must have done over a 100km during the day. Phil was whinging big time how square his arse was Being the good haggler that I am I b http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Cambodia/North/Siem-Reap/blog-416013.html Siem Reap food I finished off the last blog with it bucketing down. Continued to do so for the rest of the afternoon. So we had a chilling out afternoon. Len and Glenda went down the road just before the rain started to get our washing was only 300m away. On the way back they got caught for over a hour as the rain was that heavy. Some nice man invited them into his shop to wait it out. Musical chairs on Air Asia was a laugh nobody except the westerners staying in their correct seats I think Even though we given seat numbers and asked by the stewardess a number of times to stay in correct seatingVOA was a little ni http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Cambodia/South/Phnom-Penh/blog-414383.html Day One 26609 Left home at 3.30am ...... long day Plane left on time Glenda and Kyle sitting next to the lady from hell Issy had her usual chuck about 1.5 hours out of landing.
