Hello for the last time from this travel blog. The end of my journey is finally here. It is hard for me to believe that 5 months of traveling have gone by already. It seems like not so long ago I was sitting in the same spot I am now at my computer in the house I grew up in looking at the dogs lying on the couch and enjoying the peace and quiet. It feels nice comfortable after constant

Hola I felt I should post again so soon because otherwise my final post would be ridiculously long with way too many pics. So on the morning of the 4th day in Sevilla I took a train 3 hrs east to Granada. I managed to make it to my hostel without much difficulty even though I had to transfer buses and walk through crazy angled cobblestone streets. I found out upon arriving that I had booked

I'm trying to get a little more fotage because I'm planning on cutting together a personal narrative of my trip when I get home. So check your local video store in a few months. Paul and I split off and are basically traveling to the same citys but at slightly different paces thr

Barcelona in 4 days

Hola The past 4 days have been packed with sights here in Barcelona. Here we go. Alright so the first day in Barcelona which was my birthday I spent getting my barrings and seeing some buildings designed by Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi was a Spanish born architect who designed many unique buildings in Barcelona in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The first building I went to was the Temple Expiato

Bonjourno for the last time from Italy. Alright so we traveled from Naples on an overnight train to Palermo which is on the northern coast of Sicily. Paul and I had a sleeper car which we payed way too much for but on the plus side we did get a good nights rest for our day in Palermo as compared to Kam who was an angry beast until he got his Fanta. We walked through the city finding our

The day I wrote my last blog we had a wonderful Japanese dinner with Lily and her boyfriend Bank and then we were kindly escorted to the airport by them directly afterwards. Upon checking in for our flight we were told that it was delayed by 8 ho

Hello all I know it has been a while since my last post but in my defense it is because there was no internet on the islands we stayed on for over the past week. But now you get to hear all about the islands Horray Your patience paid off. Alrighty so if I have this correct the last time I posted was on the 23rd of January after the stimulating full moon party. After posting my blog I

We crossed the border back into Thailand on the 18th without incident and traveled for about 6 hours by bus to Bangkok where we stayed at Lily's place for a night. The follow

Hello to everyone that reads this. So for the last 5 days we have traveled into the north eastern part of Cambodia and it has been fantastic. We left Phnom Penh early to catch a bus up to Kratie which was about a 6 hr bus ride on a paved road thankfully. Once in Kratie each of us took a moto and a driver on a 15 min ride through the town and rural areas to a dock where we would take a boat to

Hello from Cambodia I want to respond to Uncle Barry's inquiry into my comparison of the Kiwis and the Aussies first. Of course I can't accurately compare the two because I had much more time in New Zealand than I did in Australia resulting in less time interacting with any authentic Aussies. Whatever that may be. But I did notice that the Kiwi seemed to be very laid back with an I'll ge

2 more days of Angkor

Hello from Siem Reap The last two days in Angkor have been just as incredible as the first. Yesterday we had a Tuk Tuk drop us off at a gate near where we ended the day before and treked through Wats for the better part of the day. We first stopped at a couple of smaller temples that were nothing special besides being built around 1000 AD It is fun to explore all the nooks and cranies f

Alright so last I wrote I was in Brisbane. Travelling from Brisbane was a breeze on New Years. Celebrating the holidays while travelling has not exactly been what I'm used to but I can now say that I rode a bus all night Christmas da

G'day again from down under. We left Noosa the following day to travel further south 2hr to Brisbane. We arrived at our hostel a short time later and then set out to explore the area we were in which was just north east of the city center. One of our first stops was at a local cinema to see if No Country for Old Men had arrived yet and to my excitement it had. I read the book about a year a
