We left Hanmer Springs after Christmas and headed for Nelson via Murchison. Our lovely adopted parents tucked us into the van and checked our seat beltshellip. The town is rather small and quiet but is a mecca for white water rafting and kayaking. The surrounding countryside is quite beautiful. The nearby Buller Gorge is another adrenaline spot with jet boats and zip lines as well as the far gentler pursuit of panning for gold in the Buller River and a few other nearby locations. Hi Guy's I thought I had better publish some stuff about the trip I took into the Amazon Jungle after we finished our tour along the Inca Trail and into Machupicchu.
