I am a University of Washington student majoring in Photography. I used this site once before for when I went to San Francisco for the first time in 2005. The second time I went, for spring break in 2007, I only uploaded to Flickr (www.flickr.com/despeaux). This time, spring break 2008, I'll use both this and Flickr because I should be going to many interesting places along the way. Road trip!despeaux

At 8:30 AM, my dad called the hotel room I was staying in to inform me that Mark had arrived. (We got two rooms, so I had one all to myself.) Mark, Judy, and their two kids (one year & three years younger than I) have travelled the world. My dad was a roommate with Mark once. And we haven't seen them in 10 years. Last night, my dad thought "Hmm, didn't Mark say he was in Redding?" So, he called him up, and we ended up following Mark over to his house for breakfast. It was good to see them again. ------ Currently, at 1 PM, I am sitting in the backseat of the Santa Fe, typing this and uploading photos I took of Simpson University, the school Merrilee attends. It has been a very long trip down to Redding. Nearly 12 hours, in fact. I drove for about 3 of those, but I was definitely happy to be chauffeured. ------ I woke up at around 7 AM, took a quick shower, and rushed over to my dad's. We went over to Pat's house (his girlfriend), and hit the road around 8:30. Breakfast was good: at around 10:30 we stopped somewhere along I-5. Lunch at 3:30, or something like that, in Oregon. Then, Redding. We're at a hotel for the night, before we head to Belmont. Free high-speed internet here. ------ Before I hit the sack, I'll mention that I can add unlimited photos to this site, and I plan on adding some!
