Today I was supposed to go with a boy from Monar to see his school and meet his class. was looking forward to it but unfortunately the school has exams going on and the visit was not possible. so as there was no other work I decided to make the trip to Malbork Castle. This i situated in Malbork near Gadansk. I won't dwell into the history of the castle. The link is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malbork. In short the castle is supposedly the largest Gothic style fortress in Europe. Built in 1274 by the knights of the Teutonic Order. The castle is built of red brick and the architecture and sixe of the castle is quite magnificant. I saw the ineterieors of the castle which has nice frescos and the colection of amber artifacts which is beautiful. as ... read more

Easter weekend in Poland is Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter sunday and Easter Monday. - Good Friday attended mass at the local church. It was really packed and cold but the service was nice. Though I missed the sung gospel like in India. I also helped with the decorations. Remember I mentioned about cutting the easter shrubs from the forest? well same stuff was used. I decorated the drawing room. and made like an arch over the doorwaty. everyone was impressed and really liked it. also it made me happy. Lot of pain is taken to decorate for Eater its like cristmas. will put picteures on the blog when I get back home. - Saturday is a big day coz preperations are made for the big Easter Sunday breakfast. I totally involved myself with everything. I ... read more

This is the second time I'm writing this page. The first one, just as I'd finished, I did something to delete it. Ugghhhh!!!! Anyways won't write that regualary now as the same routine is to be followed everyday. get up at 6:30am, go for excercise. there are meetings the whole day and chores and melas are fitted in between. Meetings are the center poinr of MONAR. if anyone has a problem or needs to discuss or if someone is fighting the the bell is rung and the whole group meets. even if its in the middle of the night or at meal time you leave whatever you are doing and come and discuiss it and help sort it out. its quite a nice system but I haven't been woken up in the night till now. We arrive at the MONAR center. Its a delightful old house. We met all the patients(that's what they call the children there). We are shown around by Michael and Adam who can speak English. Now this MONAR center is a home for recovering drug addcits. These are children who have either tried drugs- hardcore or smoking. They may have experimented or even be addicted. They are rehabilitated at this home. It has very strict rules. and you have to be a part of the house. there are now 23 Children ages 13-21, boys and girls. Its all for 1 and 1 for all. The way the home functions is sooo brilliant but its too much in detail to explain here. but I wish they had this system in India. Some of the unique traits. Chores are ... read more

I want to skip the irrelevant details of my flights from Mumbai to Vienna. but this being an account of my travels and all........... Ok so I reached the Mumbai airport really early. the guy at immigration had so much time to spare that he was even showed me the UV light and how to detect fake passport. Thanks to him, now I have enough information to start a perfect passport scam(I know how to avoid the loopholes). Austrian Airlines is quite ok. food and service fine. I reach Vienna airport really sleepy. Transit is nothing to brag about. The seats were so uncomfortable I sat on the floor on cross legged position and went to sleep for 1 hour on my backpack!! I awoke quite rested and then a policeman told me to sit on ... read more
