13th December, DF make it to Brisbane or if you are called Luke, Scott or Mikey 'Brissie' :) A lovely City, and we were blessd with sunshine. One day was enough for us however as the place was extremely expensive (I mean $11 dollars for 1/2 an hours parking. For my English friends this is around 8 pounds for 1/2 an hour!) The expense still didn't stop us on the food fronts - we invested in a lovely Subway and hit the road .... Can I just confess, this keyboard is ultra s*%t - so sorry for the spelling errors! 16:00 and we got back on the road and headed for the signs which read the 'gold coast'. This is what we've all been looking forward to for a while now, and surfers paradise, our first ... read more

Wowwww, DF's blog being updated so quickly. You can tell this is officially Lukey's now! Well, well, well the Camper van is a dream (maybe the only vehicle in the World better than my little baby Corsa!? Yes MAYBE!) and Oz is fastly matching the heights of Asia! The Truth/DF's hunk of love/the camper van has however experienced its first parking ticket, has blown its power steering getting to Surfers Island and has officially broken down now, but I'll move onto all of this shortly ... So, where were we? Oh yes, just leaving the Whitsunday Islands. The next morning, 7th December, Mikey got us back on the Bruce Highway (bright and early) heading South for a place called Agnes Water. It took a couple days to get there but it was worth the drive. With ... read more

December 14th 2010

Saturday 4th, we left Cairns and began the trip of a life time. Surely this is every boys dream? Isn't it? Well for the three of us this dream has been put on ice way to long! So Mikey was first to get behind the wheel and into the hot seat, where we headed for 'josephine falls' For any of you Georgraphers Josephine Falls, are located at the foot of the southern face of Mount Bartle Frere in the Wooroonooran National Park. Yes, I noted this down in my Journal as I loved the name of this place! Josephine Falls, has had 5 deaths in the last 3 years, (and DF nearly made this 6 thanks to Scott). Whilst everybody was swimming in the bottom pool the three of us ignored all warning signs and sign ... read more

December 2nd 2010

Wow! So I (cheers Mike) have been officially travellin' for 4 weeks. November 30th, we left Asia, and today is the 2nd December where DF finally hit Oz! Okay, we landed in Cairns and through the powers of the internet and facebook, we arived with a few Geordie friends. DF's plan was always to travel 2864km (yes I have researched this) from Cairns - Sydney with a campervan. Surf boards on the roof, MJ on the iPod, a few stops via the whitsundays, fraser island, the gold coast, sunshine beach and the great barrier reef - pure bliss! In fact DF have re-named this trip 'the DF surf and sun run' ... but before I move on to the road trip lets go back to Cairns. (You will notice a day by day blog has literally ... read more

Hello blog! I know its been a while but please forgive me! I have so much to tell so please sit comfortably, grab a drink, ignore any spelling errors and lets get back to Asia - leaving KL and visiting Singapore! Okay, KL was amazing and a place I would love to visit again, however all good things do come to an end (so nelly furtado tells us) and on the 27th Novemeber we left KL for the bright lights of Singapore, and red light district! A dodgy 5 hour trip to Singapore did however turn into a 9 hour frustrating journey however luckily I had Mikey back with me, my iPod was fully charged and I had just spoke to James - so I was happy. With only a short stay in Singapore, we used ... read more

If youve already read scottys blog/facebook bullshit or heard that mikey was lost and how luke and scott were going mad trying to find him and nearly called the police to send search parties out...then mikey was keen to put aside his version of events.... As far as he was concerned when he arrived at their hostel a little later than he was due (5.45am) to find an empty room he assumed they had headed to the towers without him. Not giving it a second thought he jumped in a taxi and went to the towers to catch up with the boys. On arrival they were no where to be seen so he saved a place in the rapidly increasing line (not sure how to spell 'Q') When they did not show he headed back to ... read more

November 26th 2010

26 November, With Luke and Scotty in KL, they slept the day away after arriving at 5am in the morning, along with the horrendous trip you can appreciate they needed some sleep. The evening came, and still no Mikey, so they went out and grabbed some dinner (okay a Maccys - a nice healthy option!). Neverthless, at this point Mikey had checked his Email and taxied it to there hostel. On arrival he found it was doubled booked so took the opportunity to invest in a room that had a double bed, hot shower and a TV .. as his trip from Koh Tao was far from impressive either! Okay, with facebook chat being so useful the boys did manage to finally cross wires and spend the evening catching up on the last 9 days of ... read more

November 22nd 2010

DF like to keep a day by day track on this blog, however, with internet prices being so high, and with a flight to catch to Australia in the next 3 hours I am going to make this simple. 22nd, November: H.A.N.G.O.V.E.R! Okay, I can do better than that. Between November 22-24 its safe to say the rest of our time on the island consisted of not doing very much at all. We basically just watched movies and played cards with the Swedish girls. Old School was most certainly my favorite film in this time and to all you Old School fans PLEASE appreciate this quote: 'True love is hard to find, sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people ... read more

November 21st 2010

21st November, Full Moon Party, koh phangan (haad rin beach) ... This date was put in the dairy along time ago! Trust me. Okay, to DF this day was like Christmas. To any one who doesn't know what the full moon party is ... the full moon party begins at dusk, when the yellow moon makes its appearance over the white sand beach. As the evening progresses the beach explodes into a dancing freenzy as different m.c's take turns on the decks. With 10,000 people on the guest list, Luke and Scott were buzzin' all day, ready to fly the DF flag loud and proud! As usual the day started with the usual banter, getting some food, and trying everything in there power to get hold of Mikey. Mikey being the only traveller in the World ... read more

November 20th 2010

This blog hasn't been discontinued its just taken so long to get chance to actually sit down with Mikey and sort this out! Anyway, we are currently in Singapore, and we have stayed 3 nights in kuala lumpur since, but lets go back to Luke in Koh Panngan and Mikey in Koh Tao. Please note at this time Mikey has completed his basic diving course 'paddy' and is staying a few more days in Koh Tao to do his advanced course and late night dives! Okay, 20th November, with the FULL MOON PARTY tomorrow night Luke and Scott opted for a chilled day on the island. This consisted of lots of naps (obviously)! However the boys did manage to stretch there imagination and hire quad bikes out for the day. With not thinking about there budget ... read more
