Today is the first day that I have logged on to my blog in apparently a long time. In case you were worried, I am not dead. I am very much in a period of transition. Not afraid of Spiders So I am not afraid of spiders. But somehow the rumor got started that I am terrified of them. That I do not like them and that I am very very afraid. This is not true. Hitting the Ground Running So I do not have very much time, so I will make this brief. After a week and a night at Achen's house, we all went our separate ways. The training time was over. No more comfort and security of a family that was used to volunteers. No more people who were there to help get us used to India and acclimate. So Where to Begin So where to begin? I guess I can start with getting on the plane in New Orleans, Louisiana. Here after a cup of coffee, I left my mom, dad, younger brother, and girlfriend (I miss them) to board a plane for what promises to be an adventure of a life time. Because of Hurricane Gustav I was not able to fly out on that Monday (Sept. 1).
