Glastonbury

Its me Jen and Mel off to Glastonbury for the weekend. 137000 people in one place at one time makes 20000 at Summadayze look kinda small. So its Friday i've got the day off work we're 2 hours on a bus to Bristol and then we're 45 mins from the biggest gig of my life. Well 45 minutes if you know where it is. 2 hours or so later and we're dragging our gear through 3 inches of mud and trying to

The Top Deck Camping Trip

Our third night in Romania was the first night we had to set up camp for the night. At Sofia and Bucharest we stayed in hotels...albeit slightly dodgy hotelsI was amazed at how much crap is stored on that bus and how quickly the campsite is put together. You have to remember that there's 50 people on the bus. Thats 25 tents Nearly 100 mattresses you get through them quickly The Cook tent A

Romania

So we leave Bulgaria after a couple of large nights...and I've hardly spent anything. On the road to Bucharest the Paris of the east and the capital of Romania. An hour and a bit to get across the border and we're on the horse and cart road to the City. These eastern european countries don't seem to have any direct roads across the borders it's as if they build roads only for their country and do

After the ANZAC day tour we jumped on a 19 day Top Deck like Contiki but better camping trip through eastern europe destination London.First stop was Bulgaria....back in time to the 1960's at least. The most stunning change was the difference in the roads. On the Turkey side of the border there was a 6 lane motorway go through the border took about an hour and you have a dicky two lane tra

ANZAC Day at Gallipoli

This is probably one of the best things I've ever done in my life and I would recommend that every aussie and kiwi come to Gallipoli...if not for ANZAC day then to just see it. You have no idea of what happened here until you see the scale and size of the place. The sun rising over the cliffs during the dawn service was so moving that I think pretty much everyone around was having a tear or two...

After a couple of days in London I flew down to Istanbul to join an ANZAC daz tour. Istanbul is an awesome City and I would recommend to everyone that they visit. Once you get used to the locals it's easy to get around. Thev're all helpful and friendly even if all they want to do is sell you a chicken kebab Definately a great place to spend a few Liras.Efes the local beer is awesome. Had a fe

Hey all. Well we made in to Hong Kong for the first leg of the trip....as did their first typhoon for the season. This made for a couple of windy and rainy days to start with.Hong Kong is great you can tell it's asia but you can also tell it used to be british....especially on the island. They have this huge escalator that goes from the city centre up the hill into the residential areas...and it
