I'm finally trying to finish the blog of our 2009 trip. We've been home for three weeks and very busy. We went up to Jacksonville for a couple days and I was going to finish there but we were so busy I didn't even turn on the computer. I'm going to try to keep this short but it covers about a full month of travels.814162009 From Westover we came down to a city park near my sister's house.

They had a very good group called Exodus. Sunday we met th

7209 We had gotten reservations near East St Louis IL in a small town called Cahokia for the 4th of July. We arrived on July 2 mid afternoon on a grey day but decided to go for a drive to find a place to watch the fire works. It was a pretty nice camp ground with an excellent BBQ resturant called the Saw Mill. We had dinner there and it was very good but we found their speciality a couple

6909 We finally left Cheyenne today. It's rather a shame there were some interesting things there but we didn't see much except the urgent care Walmart for meds and the campground. It rained quite a bit but that helped make Durham stay in and sleep so he could get well enough to travel again. Sunday I went to church alone and it's a good thing it was raining so hard when I came out I got

The three patriachs were Abraham Isaac and Jacob not Joseph.52209 Our only full day in Springville we decided to go to Utah Lake State Park. It was a very pretty little park on the east side of the largest fresh water lake in Utah but not as big as Salt Lake. We looked around the park campground it had water

From there we went to Navajo Canyon bridge where we could see some rafts in the Colorado River possibly on a white water rafting trip. From there we went up to Marble Canyon for lunch then up to Lees Ferry. We saw where the ferry had been but couldn't figure where the wagons went after th

5309 We attended Camp Verde UMC this morning and heard the best tything sermon we ever heard. After church we had to hurry home to get out of the campground since our space was promised for Sunday after lunch. We had a pretty good trip up to Flagstaff. The mountains were rather steep a couple over 6 but we made it safely. We had decided to stay at Ft. Tuthill the Luke AFB campground. We h

She went home and we went back to the coach to change and get Max. After doing a few basics toward getting ready to leave we went out to Michelles for a last afternoon together before we leave.
We left Hempstead for Stonewall on a grey somewhat windy day. We would be in the Texas hill country for a couple more days. The hill country is the best part of texas in my opinion.Stonewall is a small town near the LBJ State and National Parks. When we arrived we realized there was probably only one RV Park so we stopped and asked someone at the park if it was the one we were looking for he sa
