Has any one travelled by train from Beijing to Huhhot during the day? Everybody talks about catching the night train and how good it is. Although the journey appears to be 10hrs long, is it a good way to see a bit of countryside and experience more than by flying and then travelling out from Huhot to see things. The great Wall and Huhhot Ive a very old book which talks about the section of the Great Wall in the northern suburbs of Huhhot.
