Donald Lyon Close-Up Expeditions is my baby, born in 1979 of my passion for exploration and learning about this exquisite globe. I've photographed in over 120 countries and lead 3-5 photo workshops each year. I'm interested in using my images to urge people to be proactive about protecting our environment and especially about acknowledging and protecting those traditional cultures that do play by Mother Nature's rules. When I'm not leading photo tours, I'm lecturing and restoring my circa 1895 farmhouse in rural Oregon.
