These Russian entries are from the spring break trip taken with my study abroad classmates from Lithuania Christian College. For some reason, the most direct route to Moscow from Western Lithuania was up through Riga, Latvia. We took the bus to Riga (several hours) and stopped for lunch before heading over to the train station. I guess they figured it would be too uncomfortable to leave at around 6am and grab lunch on the go while seeing the city. After much discussion amongst the exchange students in Lithuania, it came down to Priscila and I going to Scandinavia for the Valentines Day Weekend. We both wanted to go to Copenhagen, and since we were going to be flying into Southern Sweden anyway, we decided to shoot up to Stockholm for the end of the trip. After taking the ‘flybus’ from Malmo, we wondered over to the Hotel Jorgensen, one metro stop north of the main station at Norreport. Great place, about $20 with a full breakfast buffet incl. Unfortunately, all my pics save for 8 loaded onto a photo sight were lost. While in Copenhagen, we were able to take in quite a bit of the city sights, art galleries, royal palace, WWII resistance museum, first castle, and of course, the little mermaid.
