Other than the day that we seemed to have had a monsoon (don't check the news...it wasn't really one), the last little while has been marked with beautiful sunny days here in Tennessee. I now exist in the USA. Some of you think that I existed here before - why wouldn't a Canadian exist in the USA? I did physically exist here before...but I now have credit here! I know...so exciting. If you have never met/work with an international student in any country - you should know that credit from your home country doesn't transfer. It doesn't matter that you have had a bank account since you were 12, or that you have a or many credit cards, or student loans, or car payments...etc. You have to start from scratch in your host country. Today is the first day it has snowed in East Tennessee… only I wouldn’t call it snow. It looks a little bit like the ash that fell when I was in Mexico City and the volcano Popocateptl was acting up…hmm or maybe a bit like the pollen that flies through the sky in spring. I can't believe this summer has gone by so quickly! I could not have asked for a better time during my stay in Boston. This city has so much to offer, and I am leaving tomorrow with many things left undone. As usual, I left some of it right until the last possible minute, but the truth is that every day has been busy since I left school at the end of May.
