Just spent a relaxing three days in the mountains just outside hot stuffy Jakarta. What a relief. We got into the car and took the highway from Jakarta to Ciawi. Easy drive but little to see along the way. The toll took us str8 to the centre of Bogor. We stayed at the Heritage Hotel. It is a historic, refurbished hotel. Not quite in the class of the Raflles or Eand O, but still had enough old world charm. The service was 5 star and the location unbeatable. Only paid USD 65 for the deluxe room.
