I know you won't believe this but we have another precious addition to the family ! I would like to send out a big congratulations to my cousin Misty who gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, 4 lb. 11 oz., 17 1/2 in. long, baby girl today !! She named her Gennia Louise Rhyne in honor of her Mother (my Mother's sister) who passed away last May. Today is a very special day for Misty, my Mother and our family. After a great night's sleep I woke up around 8:00 a.m. so I could get the laundry done before we had to head out for Alcatraz. I tried to do it last night but it didn't work out so well. I got all the way to the laundry area with six loads of laundry, seperated it and began putting it in the washers when I look up and see the sign that says "these machines only take one dollar coins !" Crescent City KOA provided us with a nice, quiet and enjoyable place to stay. Our morning started off just like all the rest. Showers, clean-up, pack-up and hit the road. Tim got behind the wheel of our Coachman Aurora and pulled out onto Highway 101 and started towards the Redwood National Forest. I would like to start today's blog with a big congratulations to my cousin Teresa. She gave birth to her first child, a happy, healthy, 7 lbs. 2 oz. baby boy and she named him Caiden ! Tim and I decided last night, as we were laying bed, that we wanted to have what we described as a "lazy day". We've been going strong for 12 days and we just wanted to "do nothing" for a day. I found a great KOA Campground in Walport, Oregon that is right on the coast so we decided to head out in the morning and spend the day and night there. Well, we survived last night in Silver Lake, Washington and awoke to a brand new day. We planned on going up to Mount St. Helens and then over to the lava tubes. Before we could head out, Tim had to settle up with the owners and decide which route to take. It didn't take him long to route a course for us and we were soon on our way. Not long into the drive everyone starts yelling for breakfast. We’re on day eleven now and I can’t believe how fast it’s all happening!! After a good nights sleep we said goodbye to Glacier National Park and were on our way to Washington State. We were well rested and prepared for our long journey through the rest of Montana and the state of Idaho. We were hoping to make it all the way to Spokane without having to stop overnight in Idaho.
