I last went home in 2006 for Carnival but you'all may not enjoy that kind of fun. Here is link to trini talk.http://www.afriqueonline.com/pages/trini/Trini20.html |
| 31st May 2009 Trini | POS - From: A "Roti" and 4 "Doubles" please (Trinidad & Tobago) As a trini I just want to ask if bethany man...town is the most dangerous part of the island. Any fool could see that...i wonder if you live in Trinidad?? Probably 90% of the crime we experiencing now does occur in town and its outskirts...ahem, Laventille.....anyway, I am really glad you guys came and enjoyed our beautiful island and was able to experience the true Trinidad...the character of our people and the natural beauty and scenery....next time you guys should come to se the leatherback turtles..you seem like nature buff....and do a hike to Paria...and go don south to Bush Bush nature reserve...I promise you will love it!! |

| 1st April 2009 cjschw | (email) - From: A "Roti" and 4 "Doubles" please (Trinidad & Tobago) Hello Chris, I want to commend you on your blog for your trip to T&T. I am a citizen of T&T(currently in AR) and I was very impressed with your blog. I think you did a fantastic job of recounting your visit specifically to Tobago(that's where I am from). The pics of Charloteville were amazing expecially the shot at night from the room(saved it as a desktop background). I want to wish you good luck on your MBA studies(MBA 2001) and I hope you can take some of your friends when you decide to go back. Have a great day! |
| 25th March 2009 bethany | lucky - From: A "Roti" and 4 "Doubles" please (Trinidad & Tobago) As a Trini I have to say that you are very lucky you had such a safe trip in Trini. Ironically, the place you felt the least safe (Port of Spain) is probably the safest place for a tourist to be. All in all I'm glad you enjoyed it, but for anyone reading this I still strongly suggest that if you visit you take extreme precaution; particularly in the quieter, less populated, more deserted areas. |
| 25th March 2009 Lisa | - From: A "Roti" and 4 "Doubles" please (Trinidad & Tobago) I agree with Natalie...we're all coming next time on your new post-MBA salary :) Love the pictures and it sounds like you guys had a ton of fun, like usual. | 4th January 2009 Mary | Silly question - From: The ancient land of the Pharaohs I really enjoyed reading about your trip. My husband and I are leaving for Cairo in 2 weeks. We will be cruising the Nile, too. YEAH! I am concerned that we bring the correct clothing for the weather. I see that one of you is wearing a shawl, and the other is wearing short sleeves. What should I bring? We are allowed only one suitcase per person. Thanks for any advice you can give us. |

You're there!! - From: The ancient land of the Pharaohs I can't begin to describe how excited I was when I woke up this morning and had a blog from you and Haley in Egypt. I couldn't wait to see your pictures and read your blog. Chris, this was like a stroll back along memory lane with you. I'm so happy you're enjoying Egypt even more so this time around. It was such a thrill for us when you came over to visit for your first time. We still laugh about you dressed in a galibayah walking around Rd 9 in Ma'adi. There's nothing quite like seeing the ancient pyramids in person to put history and time in perspective. Enjoy your stay and we can't wait to see all your pictures when you return. Bev |
