I'm a huge travel junky. I haven't been many places, but I would love to go pretty much anywhere. I'm not into the whole group excursions that are planned out. I like to live in the moment.

North America » United States » Hawaii » Maui November 19th 2009

Hey guys. It's the first day on the Hawaii trip. We got here by plane. Had to leave our house in Tucson around 4:00 am. It wasn't too great, especially since I'm most definitely not a morning person. The airport in Tucson was fine. The flight to LAX was fine. All in all it was all fine. The plane to Maui from LAX was huge. I loved it, but it grew to be too long of a flight. I got bored in the last hour. We got in Hawaii around 1:00 pm. It was hot and humid and windy, but it was still awesome. Suprisingly enough baggage took a while, but after that we went to eat at Denny's. Now let me tell you, everything on the island is soo much more expensive than the mainland, ... read more

North America » United States » Illinois September 19th 2009

We decided to take a trip to southern Illinois. We drove through DeKalb to get to Peoria. I loved going over this huge bridge in Peoria. We only stayed there for awhile. We stopped at the Yorkshire Plaza Mall for some time. Then we went to Grand Prairie Mall. We ate at Old Chicago Pizza. It was yummy, we went in the winter so there was snow on the ground. They also had their big sleigh like ride going. We rode that several times. It's so huge. I loved just going there. After Peoria we went onto Bloomington. I know this sounds crazy, but we stopped at a mall in Bloomington. This is purely because we were hungry. We ended up going to Eastland Mall. It was a nice mall and a good place to go ... read more

Home sweet home. God I hate that saying. But it is. Yes, I live here, in case you didn't get the amazingly subtle hints. Where to start. Well as far as attractions and sight seeing, you should head to A Mountain, and the Desert Museum. A Mountain is an U of A tradition. It's cool to see. The Desert Museum is for animal lovers, and people who want to see animals they don't often see. It's like your normal outside zoo with a desert twist. There are 4 different mountain ranges on all sides of Tucson. To the north is the Catalinas, the west, the Tucsons, the east, the Rincons, and way to the south, the Santa Ritas. I live closest to the Catalinas. Another attraction to definitely visit is Mt. Lemmon and Summerhaven. It doesn't ... read more

The Grand Canyon is like everyone describes it. It's big. But it's also really pretty. I went in November and it was beautiful because all the leaves on the trees were changing and the colors were really pretty. I took the train thing around it. I liked this because you could stop at checkpoints and get out and walk a little ways to the edge of parts of the canyon. It beats driving too. I didn't have the chance to hike down it, but it sounds cool, so if you are outdoorsy, I would recommend doing that. Don't forget your jacket if you're going in the winter time weather. I ate at the lodge type place and the food was decent. They had a good variety, plus dessert which is always a bonus. I didn't have ... read more

North America » United States » Kentucky July 9th 2009

My family takes a vacation to Kentucky Lake each year. It's south of Paducah. If you're ever looking for a family vacation I would definitely go there. They have pretty nice cabins and you can go boating on the lake. I haven't tried jet skiing yet, but it looks fun. Tubing is the best because you can get some awesome waves. It's great for water skiing too, just make sure you go in the morning. You can stay at the hotel too. It has a pool. One of my favorite things was the golf course. It's 9 holes, but you can play 18. The greens are pretty nice, and the people are friendly. We've been golfing there for over 8 years. Other things we did around that area was go to the water park and go ... read more

North America » United States » Arizona » Flagstaff June 20th 2009

I've been to Flagstaff several times. All the times it's been great. The first time I went, I ate at the Beaver Street Brewery. It was amazing. I wasn't old enough to have the microbrew, but I heard it was good. The pizza was phenomenal. The wait was a little long, but the people who ate there were friendly, so you always have someone to talk to. The second time I went, I ate at Sizzlers. It is like a buffet I guess you could say. A whole group of us went, so the wait was long, but the food was decent. The service was friendly. The thing I loved about Flagstaff was that it was cool when we were there. It wasn't particularly hot. In the winter, there is snow, which you rarely get in ... read more

North America » United States » Florida » Miami April 16th 2009

Miami. It's the best. Totally awesome. I had so much fun there. You can't go to Miami without checking out the nightlife. We hit Club Space a lot. It was pretty cool. We usually stayed for a couple of hours. The nightlife in Miami is definitely up there in my top 10 states. We also hit South Beach. There is nothing like South Beach. It's so relaxed but has a great atmosphere at the same time. There is a lot to do there. Miami is definitely a must see in Florida. I don't care if you are complaining about it being at the tip. Go!... read more

San Francisco is probably my absolute favorite city in California. A ton of people love L.A., and don't get me wrong, there is so much awesome about L.A., but San Francisco is so cool. I love all the buildings along the side of the road, and just how tall they are. Everyone goes to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It's pretty awesome, but other stuff is more cool to me. If you are really touristy, then I would take the time to walk the bridge. Do it at sunset. It's pretty. Best time to see it. It's a long walk but worth it. Alcatraz was cool. We did the boat tour. You got to see all the sea lions. It's one of the coolest things. It's a landmark of San Fran, so I'd ... read more

North America » United States » Arizona » Phoenix March 28th 2009

Phoenix is great. Yeah, it is really really hot, but it's cool. The city is fun to walk around. The Diamonbacks stadium is pretty awesome. There is no doubt that you'll find something you like in Phoenix. I'm going again this weekend and I can't wait. There are several towns surrounding Phoenix. I prefer Chandler or Mesa. Chandler had great shopping. Their both good though. The traffic isn't great, but it sure beats L.A. traffic. I would totally go to Phoenix for a day, for just pleasure.... read more

North America » United States » Colorado » Denver March 1st 2009

Denver was pretty cool. I liked being in the city. Especially in the winterish time. The mountains are really pretty. We actually ate at Joe's Crabshack while we were there. I know it's a chain restaurant, but it was still good. If you are going to Colorado, I'd definitely just stop by Denver and go around downtown. You'll always find something to do.... read more
