On the second of August 2008 I am flying to Beijing to work in the Holland Heinken House for the entire duration of the olympic games. As being in Asia is (at least in my eyes) an opportunity I can not waste, I decided to stay. After the olympic games I am planning on travelling through SE-Asia for another 3 months or so. Vetnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Maleysia and the Philipines are the countries I would like to pay a visit. On this travel blog you can read about my trip, my experiences, my adventures and you can find some pictures to give you an impression of where I am and what I am doing. So I'd say, enjoy.....

Hey all, It's been a while since my last post but I've been having so much fun lately that I have just not been able to write to you. The last I wrote about was Houay Xai and me getting on the slowboat to Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang. I had heard good and bad stories about the slowboat. The bad ones were usually about the wooden benches and the fact that there is very little to do. Pai - Chang Mai - Houay Xai Asia » Laos » West » Bokèo Nature Reserve

Hi everyone, Pai So the next day we headed off to Pai. The minibus took 3,5 hours to get there but the road was really nice as it was thru a beautiful mountainious terrain. We got some advice about where to stay and so booked ourselves into a small bamboo hut along the Pai river. After we had some dinner we explored the town centre and settled down for some Cupa Libres at a place where they were playing amzing live music. Phitsanulok - Sukothai - Chang Mai Asia » Thailand » North-West Thailand » Chiang Mai

Hello everyone, Here is another update about how I am doing: Phitsanulok and Sukothai. The last thing I think I wrote about was Loburi. I left Loburi on the same day I got there at about 17.00h. It was a 5 hour train ride to Phitsanulok where I planned to spend two nights to be able to see the ancient capital of Sukothai. So I arrived in Phitsanulok at about 22.00h and tried to find a guesthouse. Hi everyone, Here is my first post on Thailand, enjoy! Bangkok: After a long day in the bus and waiting for the bus at the border, we finally got into Bangkok in the early evening. We booked ourselves into a cheap hotel in the 'backpacker area' called Kosan road. The plan, as I mentioned before, was to get to Vientiane as soon as possible. So the next day we went to a Tourism Authority Thailand (TAT) office to get things sorted out.
