Hello All, I hope that you are all well. Sorry I've rather fell behind in keeping you updated on my travels etc, but I'm afraid that I've become somwhat lethargic in the matter, putting things off until a latter date. I believe that my last blog was as long as a month ago. I've visted the South of Thailand as well as had a snapshot of Northern Vietnam since then. From Angkor Wat and Siem Reap (the town in which we stayed while visting the temples) we took a bus along a forsaken Cambodian road in an overpacked bus, the sort of vehicle that Dylan, Liz and I have become far to accustomed to. On the border we got into the far more comfortable Thai transportation and went forth, to Bangkok! By late evening we arrived ... read more

Hello all, Now I know that I sent you all a blog only a few days ago, but since then I have been to Angkor Wat and have several photos you may or may not wish to see. Further more, I've been in a car crash.... At this point you should probably know that the said crash was in fact a collision between an electric bike (or more accuratly American Andy's electric bike) and a young ladies moto. Regretfully she clipped the back of the bike, where I was and wiped out. However, both myself and Andy were unhurt and apart from a slight graze and the expected shock she was as well. For those who may care a little more for Dylan or Liz than for me, no they where not involved and were not ... read more

Hello all! Hope your in the best of health. Admitdly have taken some time since my last blog (poor effort on my part I know) and apologies for that. The reason is that I have been musing and I didn't want to rush the process. Firstly, I would like to say that Miss Daisy Taranoskwa is evil, as is anybody else who dislikes my blog or even does the unthinkable and compare it in an unfavourable manner to that Dylan chaps' blog. Secondly, I have recently become the somewhat bemused and confounded owner of a 8 mega pixal camera (as you hopefully can tell from the pictures). I am told by dylan that this is a rather good camera, but to be honest I still can't use it after several hours of playing. Anywho, getting to ... read more

Anybody and Everybody who is reading this wit... this clasic, I hope you and yours are all in the very best of health. I am currently suffering from various ailments, though am in reasonable high spirits considering. Indeed at the moment I'm reasonably confident that I am curently in the recovery stage of my various illnesses. If you are the sort of reader that occasionally fears for my safety you probably shouldn't read on.... Some time ago now we were in the merry backpacker hub that is Luang Prabang (those of you who read my last blog may well remember the place) enjoying its delights. We went to the cinema, relaxed in JoMa's, the western style cafe, and talked with various travelling companions - cue a mention for Amy and Lawrence, two interesting and amusing ... read more

Hello my Furry Fans, What a painfully dramatic title, eh? Not to worry though, the insurance should cover it and, as you will see in the below it proved for some good comment fillers. Indeed, this blog is a little lacking in terms of my incredible comedic wit and is really just to update those that care. I'm sorry that i have'nt published a blog in so long, but regretably we've been in the sicks/traveling or some other problem that has prevented such a possibility. We have now finished our time in Thabom and have commenced our traveling. To conclude our time there was truly worthwhile because while it wasn't crazy partying we really saw a deep insight into North Eastern Thai culture. At this poist your probably thinking you've heard it all before, but not ... read more

Please note that this is a particuarly old blog. Don't bother reading unless you are particularly bored. The only interesting thing was that a barber gave me a shave. Children, Children, Children! I'm afraid that this is going to be especially short on account of one slow computer (all the asian children are using the internet connection to play games!) and a general lack of time. Indeed, not a great deal has happend over the last few days and so there is'nt really a lot to say... That is of course with the exception of what happened this very morn. After I had my hair cut in the local barbers (as we remarkably intergrated foriegners do out here in Thailand) the man ( a fine fellow indeed!) gave me a shave with an open blade! I ... read more

Dear All, Sorry its been so long since my last blog, but regretfully we simply havn't been able to get into the town (or more accurately we've been unable to come in and spend several hours in an Internet Cafe while our driver goes off and does something else). Also please forgive the poor structure to this blog as for many reason that are truly beyond my control it is below standard. After flicking over my last enteries to jog my memory in regard to what I have already written it has become apparent that I have only emphasised the wierder side of Thailand. I'd like to take this moment to point out that while all this is happening we are also being treated to gorgous views and great food (or indeed great food and gorgous ... read more

Dear all, Last Wednesday we were relaxing by the school pond/swamp when we were acompanied by a rather adorable cow/buffalo/other. The animal seemed quite contented in the shade, able nible on the lush vegetation and bath in the water when it wanted and so we decided it was a rather lucky cow who had been singled out for special treatment. Latter on in the afternoon we went down to the pond again and realised it had indeed been singled, as just about the time we arrived it was being skinned! It was quite interesting to see how an animal is butchard in a thai village and how every bit is saved and used (when I say everything I mean it, the blood was packaged in nice little sandwich bags and added to various piles while the ... read more

So what's been going on?

To be honest i can't really give a summary of what i've been up to as I can't remember. It seems as though not a lot has happend in the last week and yet I suppose thinking about it loads must have happened. My main problem is that I have'nt been keeping a journal and accordingly I can't really remember what's been going on. I know you are probably thinking that this is a tad bit lazy of me but I've got so much to do each day... reading, learning Spanish (mum, that's going quite well by the way) and teaching the odd English lesson takes a lot out of one. Also as I am now two and a bit weeks into the holiday i think it would be best if I just mentioned some of ... read more

Hello all! I hope you are all well and enjoying whatever you may be doing, whehter it be counting down the days to the end of the school year, at uni or in some random country enjoying your gap year (clearly the coolest way to be spending your time these days). This is a somwhat cunning way of keeping you all up to date as to what I am doing in a funer mode than an evil impersonal group email. It also has the added bonus of enabling you all to see my photos (go to the gallery). I will try to send you emails to you all individually but even I can't do this all the time as of course I have so many friends I simply don't have the time! What should happen is ... read more
