como esta usted ? well what a great blog, the photos are stunning and the history just as important, loved the photo of carla on horseback, but not the way to talk aout your FIANCE!!!! Know what you mean about the learning it apparently does get easier but we have yet to discover that ourselves, but you two bright young things will have no trouble, and it is a great idea to learn the language there and be able to put it into practice, so much easier to order fish than crocodile we would think!!!
Everyone here wishes you well and hope you continue to enjoy Peru and beyond. love always our intrepid travellers, take care hasta la vista!!! love weener et mozza xxxxxxxxxx
sunrise sunsets and the spanish conquistadors!! Well the blog was fab but the sunrise sunsets blog terrific!! the sites are remarkable!!! Carla so glad you got to do your gliding which is what you talked about in NZ how brave are you? the shots are terrific. I have been reading up on Peru, we know of Inca empires, and the lost city of Machu Picchu and its snow capped peaks which soar in places to 20,000feet and its canyons are the deepest in the world. there are 3 distinct areas in Peru. the desert, bordering on the pacific ocean , the Andes and also the rainforests, only reading about it sounds out of this world, and we think you have so much to see that will fulfill your dreams in what sounds to be a wonderful part of the world. Take care and enjoy cannot wait for the blog from this marvellous part of the world you are now seeing!! so for now goodnight, bonne nuit, et beunos noches (spelling terrible) but think you know what we are saying, love you loads. mozza and winn xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for the Info Hi James, thanks its always difficult to get the true facts from guidebooks and as our spanish is still shamefully below par its difficult to engage locals in conversation about their own countries even though this is always the best way to get a true picture of a place. (i presume your Chilean) Our guide book tells us a bomb killed allende, but the truth seems much more apt if not any less horrific so thanks for putting us straight. MandC
your amazing adventure you guys are living the dream. i imagine spending so much time "on the road" must take its toll, but it's an incredible (and enviable) adventure. i just wanted to say a couple of things about your chile entry. barrio bellavista has no colonial buildings. there are probably only about a dozen colonial buildings in santiago, since earthquakes have taken their toll over the centuries, and what nature has not destroyed, poor human decisions have done in and replaced with less than spectacular buildings (most, but not all). also, salvador allende was not murdered. he committed suiced, with a rifle given to him by fidel castro no less. i consider myself a leftist, so this isn't coming from some pinochet apologist (which includes about 1/3 of chileans) but his suicide is a fact. one can say that chilean democracy was murdered that day, but allende preferred to die at his own hands in the moneda than surrender democracy to the military junta. cheers!
SOLO YONKIS!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello to both of you (in a robot voice) I like Chile it looks fun. I was thinking of you two today as at work.. no word of a lie we have a tea machine called Parry and a.... lets say.. ladies bin called CLD!!!!
Family So pleased you met up with Brenda and Dennis it would have been a shame to have been in NZ and not had time to se them. So far you have been so lucky with the people you have met up with, lets hope you meet as many nice people in South America as they help to make the memories in years to come, pleased you got there ok just have to get used to a different language love to both mumxx
