Hey So after Monterey we moved back up the coast to Santa Cruz we had already stopped here for a day so we knew we liked the town it had a really nice beach and the weather was amazing, we hung out here for a week and then made our way to San Francisco for the first few days we stayed in a hostel at Fishermans Wharf and let me tell u it def was not the best or worst hostel (it had no rats) we had stayed at but the staff had no idea what they were doing and there was nothing close to the hostel except a Safeways. But besides that it haad abosolutley amazing views of both the golden gate bridge and Alcatraz. We walked the few miles ot the GG bridge on ... read more

We arrived in Santa Barbara which is a beautiful Spanish looking town in CA and took a trolley down the main street to the hostel which was the only one in the town but was only two blocks from the beach which was great we stayed here for 3 nights and took in the sights on the second day on a trolley tour of the city it was great to see everything in one go and also gave me plenty of ... read more

So after Death Valley we drove from Death valley to Bishop through Yosemite National Park which was so pretty because of all the snow but alot of it was closed so no camping there we went on up through Carson City ( capital of Nevada) and as the next thing we wanted to see was Lake Tahoe we spent a few nights in Reno ....BIG mistake on the day we were meant to be leaving there were big winter storm warnings for all the roads out of Reno but as there wasnt alot to do in Reno and we needed to move on we hit the road now for those of u who have driven in snow at home ....that is nothing in comparison to having to drive across the Sierra- Nevada Mountains in it at ... read more

We arrived in San Diego and Carrie a friend of Amandas collected us which was really nice of her seeing as she had to wait for over an hour because our bus was delayed !! We stayed at her apartment which I might add was AMAZING the complex she lives in has 7 hot tubs and 5 pools (and sunshine!!) Carrie was great she took us everywhere although I feel sometimes we relied on her a bit too much to get around as we werent really anywhere near public transport. But we went off on our own for a few days we went to tijuana .....what can i say about it in the words of the taxi man (who was mexican) "This is not mexico" and I agree it is just a tourist resort which was ... read more

We went to the grand canyon on the thursday an early start at 7am but it was so worth it there are many ways to describe the grand canyon some people even say it is just a big hole in the ground and isnt that special but when u have experianced it from the point of view of a native american you realise ... read more
