Don't worry, I'm still alive. So is Bo. Its been so long since we wrote anything that I dont know where to start. We've made our way from Nairobi down here to Vic Falls, we continue on the overland truck until Joburg, then we are going to make our way to Cape Town for a while. The month has flown by. But I've seen lots of elephants so its all good. Basically, we went straight to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater for game drives when we started the trip. Then to Zanzibar to spice things up a bit (hehe I'm funny). Next was to Malawi to adopt children, through Zambia for no apparent reason and now we are here in Zim. My new favourite beer is Tusker, I've broken/lost 3 pairs of flip flops, I've considered ... read more
V quick Egypt update, just to let you know what we've been up to (more exciting stories soon, I promise) We arrived in Cairo after much wine and Harry Potter goodness. Not much of this night is remembered. Next day we were taken on a tour of the pyramids and Mr. Sphinx. We both noted how the pyramids were made of blocks (I assumed them to be smooth) and not sandy (what? they look that way in the pictures. And Egypt is full of sand. Surely this makes sense). After some confusion/annoyance/general ripping off by our travel company, we caught an overnight train to Aswan. We wandered the markets, enjoyed dinner by the nile and prepared ourselves for a 3am wake up call to go to Abu Simbel. The temple of Ramses II in Abu Simbel ... read more

Yes, I am in Prague. For those of you who don't know where it is - have you not heard of Good King Wenceslas? Everyone can play that on recorder. You should all learn your European geography. Or carry a map everywhere you go like I do. I believe I was in Rome last time I wrote. Despite wandering around, singing 'Benedict sits in his room, Benedict, Ben-Benedict' he was nowhere to be seen. And I also got very angry at nuns. For some reason they were allowed to cut all the queues in Vatican City. Next time I go there I will make sure I have my best nun outfit on. My next stop was Venice. Twas lovely. Except I got very lost because of the canals. And there were pigeons everywhere. I hate pigeons. ... read more
While in Barcelona, Bo (yes i am referring to myself in the third person and bo is good thanks for asking) greatly improved her knowledge of the spanish language. In the event that your camera is stolen by a greasy, mullet-headed knob jockey, I advise you to make use of the following translations: PUTA MADRE Puta is short for Prostituta. At times it's used in its proper sense, but more often as a very strong insult, especially if a family connection is made, in phrases that would translate as "son of a prostitute" or "your prostitute mother". However, it's actually more commonly resorted to as an adjective to express anger. Example: Puto/a (as an adjective and always in front of the noun) Tengo que ir al puto médico (**) Lit. I have to go to the ... read more
What have the Romans ever give us? Well a hell of a lot more than those theiving Spanish bastardos. So, Bo and I caught a train back to Barcelona, looking forward to Tapas, Sangeria and Latino lovers. But some pajero on the metro stole my wallet. Granted, I probably should have had it stolen months ago with my lack of caring about security. Nevertheless it is still rubbish. And by the time I get home, the story of how it was stolen is sure to have become a tale of epic proportions. So my time in Barcelona revolved mainly around sorting this out.... it was quite interesting at the Police station to see the sheer number of people who had been robbed. It was also interesting trying to file a police report in Spanish. But its ... read more
¡Hola! I´m in Spain. It is raining. Which is lame. To keep you all up to date on my travels, I found that lost week of my life. Then I quickly remembered why I had forgotten it and am now working on repressing it again. We went down to Eastbourne. Not only was I the youngest person in the city by atleast 60 years, but there was also the annual air show on the same weekend we were there. Two things I really hate in life.... the elderly and aeroplanes. Lets just say I wasn´t a happy chicken. Plus the twin room with beds pushed together to make a double infuriated and confused me. Our poor lorry driver found me trying to check in to the hotel and copped the brunt of my anger. We did ... read more
