So today was probably the worst day of the month...first of all we got on the TGV and rode to Cannes where we took a boat to St. Margherite...something spelled like that...it was ok but there wasn't anything to do there for five hours... then our train was delayed by an hour and a half so we just jumped on some random train... and then i got in a fight with some ginger in our group...i hate that kid, with a passion...damn gingers lol jk...but anyways hes an idiot...hes sick but he refuses to believe he is...not only does it sound like he is coughing up a lung when he coughs but also he is coughing up phlem or however the hell you spell it...clearly not a good day for me...but i have told him repeatedly ... read more

So this was said by my roomate Carolina to the waitress. She was trying to ask for water which in french is l'eau which sounds kinda like O but whatever she just sounded ghetto...i guess you had to be there Not much has happened, I feel like i have done pretty much everything there is to do in Nice. Today our friend Robert is trying to put down ten scoops of gelato..thats a highlight i guess lol It has been mostly school and then just beaching it these past couple of days... tomorrow I am going to Italy but I promise I will write more detail about that later... read more

So Chelsea was bitching about her not being mentioned so this is for you...cheers!...lol jk Chelsea is mad chill and my crepe buddy :. So last night was Bastille Day..just take a 1 off the 14 and its the 4th of July...pretty much all you need to know about the holiday is that its their national day and us Americans inspired them to revolutionize?...idk that makes the french sound like they are robots but they aren't , i love the french...but anyways there was a fireworks show on the beach..pretty much just like at Topsail Island but its a rocky beach so your butt hurts after like five minutes... That day I went up to the top of a mountain to a manmade waterfall that overlooks all of Nice, both the port and beach side. It ... read more

So today after school all we did was shop. I spent about 60 euros which is like 80 dollars and I was able to get three shirts, a dress, three necklaces, skinny jeans, and a pair of shoes. Got to love July in Nice! In Nice, well it may be in all of France but in Nice, July and December all clothes go on sale...those are the only two times of the year. Carolina is hella funny and she told me to write that but whatever shes a great roommate. Also I received a message from a reader and sorry but i'm definitely not interested in pursuing a relationship, sorry. So other than that we have just been shopping all day long, and I started my summer reading :. Got to love crime and punishment. Tomorrow ... read more

C.U.M. Festival So the CUM Festival was a pamphlet at the Matisse Museum that we went to today. It was pretty sweet, but you know Matisse was ballin it up. Actually I first walked in and was like wow wheres the Land Museum...but then I actually appreciated it. We walked about 15 miles today, thats right folks...the thighs are toned lol. Nothing really happened today other than my teacher getting mad at German girls for singing Fall Out Boy badly...it was pretty funny...and then the Matisse museum.... read more

DOUCHE-bags July 6, 2008 So sorry this blog is kind of backlogged but whatever you’ll deal . So yesterday we went to Monaco, which is pretty much France’s Puerto Rico. It was so beautiful. We saw all of the huge houses and YACHTS…omg they were huge (…that’s what she said). But I could only dream of owning those boats (Money talks and Mandy walks  ). So we then had to climb to the top of the mountain. When I say top of the mountain I mean top of the Alpes…it was a monster of a hill (I’m trying not to use profanity to describe it lol). But anyway we walked like thirty minutes to the top just to see the palace and the changing of the guard. Really it was no different than Buckingham Palace ... read more

July 3, 2008 So today started out like any other day...we woke up at like the crack of dawn to our leader chastising us...what euphemism...here is how the conversation went: L-leader L- "Get up! there is a piece of clean toilet paper sitting in the sink and is clogging the drain! someone better get up and clean it up because that is not my responsibility! none of you are going to use the bathroom or the sinks to brush your teeth until it is cleaned up!" Us-"ummm , ok?" L- and if you plan on trying to brush your teeth you are going to have to go outside and spit on the ground because nothing is getting done until you CLEAN IT UP!" Us- ugh ok... L- "by the way can i borrow someones cold water?" ... read more

June 27, 2008 Good, you aren’t a fat man… …the very words that were first spoken to me as I sauntered down the aisle to my seat. I ended up sitting next to an elder man that could have probably used a respirator, but whatever he survived. He kept saying how I needed to apply early decision to UNC, but, you know how old men are and how they love to talk about anything and everything. Then I had to wait in baggage claim for two hours until every AFSer arrived in LaGuardia, it pretty much sucked but I got to meet a bunch of people. Its funny because when you asked people where they were going and if it wasn’t France then you just said “oh” and pretty much that was the end of all ... read more
