thanks - From: Lots of stuff going on
Thank you for the explanation. I'm having some trouble following all these leagues and championships, especially since nothing is in English and I only understand about 70% of the newspaper :(

Catania doesn't "hate Rome" - From: Lots of stuff going on
They tied the game which means they weren't relagated. Meaning they weren't one of the worst 3 teams in the league. If they had lost then they could have been. Which means you drop down to the AAA league in Italy. So it was a pretty big deal for them.

In bocca al lupo - From: For a good time...
This saying actually comes from an Italian fairy tale, much like our little red riding hood. basically the wolf ate a kid they found the wolf killed it and the child was still alive inside. the reply my Italian teacher told was was supposed to mean "may the wolf burst open." and that's all i remember from Italian class in high school. that and "Scardino!! Che fai!? Cinque cento!!"

How I do not miss those! We ran into one of those in ATHENS! May 1st apparently everyone strikes, and its "labor day" so nothing operated - so glad we were there for that lol and the frenchies were the WORSE with strikes. So trust me, I hear ya with that random metro route and bus route crap! lol! Make friends with someone in a car hahaha :)

typical.... - From: We love Mirko
Don't waste any time praying for us. If you have to pray for your teams to win, that's going to take up all the praying time a person could ever have - nice suggestion, Dan! sheesh. So is Mirko the dude you'll end up marrying on this trip? I still believe there's a good chance some dude sweeps you off your feet over there. Nice job on the blog. Keep it up whenever you can.

yum - From: School days!
Lots of panini, pasta, espresso, cappuccino, gelato sounds great... especially if you have a little pasta on top. ;-) Leave it to me to comment on that. Sounds like you're enjoying the walks. Not too many places in the world you can walk for a few hours and see stuff like that. Sup with some pics?

How nuts is it that you can just "take a walk" to all those attractions whenever you feel like it? What kind of stuff did they have at the Sicilian Festival? Have you emailed Marco? Keep the blogs coming! And take some pics!

Hmm, didn't you long to be out on the streets and accepting food and booze from strangers. I thought this trip might change you a little but damn that was fast. Let me know where I can send money too, you poor child.
