| 7th March 2009 steffen | Rome and Vatican - From: Rome-Second Day-Vatican City I just got back from Rome and I did recognise most of the places on your photos. I definitely agree with the Galerie of Maps being one of the highlights in the Vatican Museums, apart from the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Rooms. Definitely worth a trip! |

| 29th June 2008 Omega | Theodore Roosevelt National Park - From: A Beautiful Day in North Dakota Your blog compelled me to do more research about this amazing national park that I had not heard of before. Thanks for the nice introduction! I was surprised to learn that it was established in relatively recent years... By the way, what is a TRNP formation? They look identical to something that I found in Nevada recently... |
| 29th June 2008 Omega | Capitol Dome - From: Hot Days in DC It's amazing how each different light canvas can convey such a wide variety of visual emotions... Very nice photos! |
| 28th June 2008 alpinemel | cool pics - From: Life on the Missouri River those silly cows....next time we see them, i bet they will be cruisin the river :) |
| 4th May 2008 Omega | Biltmore - From: America's Largest Home - The Biltmore This is one place I have neglected to visit though it is relatively close to my home in northern Georgia... and very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway that I have toured in the past. Thanks for the virtual tour, great background information, and the unusual angles of your images... Very nice indeed! |
| 3rd May 2008 Omega | Subdued Mood is not Easy to Capture - From: Chimney Rock Park But you did a very nice job at it! I particularly like the "Water Trickling Down the Walls" shot.... Great image!! Also, I commend you for taking the trouble of saving that little bug on the trail... That small gesture says a lot about you as a human being... Most people would go out of their way to kill anything that crosses their path! |
| 19th April 2008 alpinemel | large house - From: America's Largest Home - The Biltmore those spring flowers are so pretty...I can't wait to see ours blooming |
| 17th April 2008 ilchicag | Awesome photos! - From: Chimney Rock Park Don't you just love the Appalachians in the spring? It's such a different place than the western mountains, and even though it wasn't as green for you as it could be, you got some great photos and sounds like you had an equally great time! I especially love the water shots; it's so romantic almost to falls like that with the long exposure. :) Hope all is well!! |
| 26th March 2008 Jody | Breathtaking!! - From: Custer National Forest I could'nt believe my eyes when we came across this a few days ago on our way home from the Black Hills!! How is it that so few know of this place? My husband and I hated to admit that it was actually prettier than the Black Hills! |
| 26th March 2008 capsfan2002 | Cross Country Skiing - From: Bridge of Valley City-Snow Version Not a huge deal for most folks...everyone has snowmobiles :) Hockey is very popular. |
| 25th March 2008 Omega | Beautiful Country! - From: Bridge of Valley City-Snow Version This is very pretty country! It reminds me of northern Norway where I lived for a while... Is cross-country skiing practiced in ND? It would be an ideal way to explore around. |
| 7th March 2008 ilchicag | Nice sky ;) - From: Stephen Colbert and the National Portrait Gallery I just have to say I loved your photo with the statue and the Capitol in the background. So original! Also glad to see the government has some kind of sense of humor with the Stephen Colbert portrait. I had no idea. :) PS thanks for the kind words before. The trip overall was amazing and hope you get back to Italy soon! |
| 4th March 2008 capsfan2002 | Camera - From: Stephen Colbert and the National Portrait Gallery I carry my camera with me. When I'm walking between buildings and there's a great shot I can do it quick then. Over lunches, I try to go eat at a Museum. Everything is so close and accessible on the Capitol and Mall area. So much to see! Am not always so lucky...sometimes all I do is sit indoors all day at meetings! |
| 4th March 2008 Omega | Virtual Gallery Art Visit - From: National Gallery of Art-Washington, DC Thank you for this great virtual art gallery visit! I am myself on a business trip and have not had the opportunity to deviate from the hotel-office-hotel loop yet. Your blog made me feel like I have. |
| 4th March 2008 Omega | Great Use of One Hour - From: Stephen Colbert and the National Portrait Gallery It is amazing how much you can see and enjoy in between business commitments, isn't it? Most people would lack the motivation to do what you did so well. I enjoyed your narrative and photos... Specially the Capitol framed by the hooves. |

| 5th January 2008 Omega | Great Images with Character! - From: Venice-Second Day-Lots of Churches and Bridges I like very much all of your pictures in this blog. Cloudy skies typically compel people not to take any pictures, but you used the rain clouds to your advantage and gave your images an almost abstract quality. Great work! |

| 6th November 2007 capsfan2002 | Response - From: Bryce Canyon-My Favorite Utah National Park Thanks!!!! I've been very fortunate to be able to see several places this year. Some years I'm not as fortunate. As far as Italy, I'll be in Rome, Florence and Venice. I've been to Venice before but not the other two and am very excited! That'd be cool if you checked my blog...I'm usually pretty good about blogging as long as I have the internet connection and would be happy to answer any questions you might have when I get back! |
| 5th November 2007 ilchicag | Awesome pictures - From: Bryce Canyon-My Favorite Utah National Park Hey, thanks for the lovely message you left on my Grand Canyon blog! I've got to say though, I would love to see what you have seen out West. Especially your pictures here at Bryce. I've always wanted to come here and now it's definitely next on my list. I took some time and looked though some of your other blogs and I'm amazed at how you find the time to explore all these places. Enjoy your trip to Italy. Where are you going? I'm going to Rome in December so hopefully I'll be able to use some of your blogs as inspiration. Either way, I'll definitely be checking back! :) |

| 21st September 2007 capsfan2002 | Ha! - From: Sports Night in Baltimore I didn't get her autograph but can understand why folks would want to. Babe's a legend. I'm going to enlarge a picture of that church sign and hang! By the way...I deleted your other comment because it revealed too much information. |
| 19th September 2007 alpinemel | - From: Sports Night in Baltimore I toatlly love the church sign...thought the people getting babe ruths daughter's autograph is a little wierd (does she play baseball :))...unless you got one then it is totally cool! :) |
| 28th July 2007 capsfan2002 | Thanks! - From: Custer State Park - A Must See Appreciate the info on the Fall. I have to travel to Rapid City a few times a year and will make sure I stop by on a trip in the Fall. It really is a hidden gem in South Dakota and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Appreciate you stopping by :) |
| 28th July 2007 Black Hills Blogger | CSP Almost National Park - From: Custer State Park - A Must See I love Custer State Park, too. If you can, you should try and come back in the fall. The tree colors are amazing, and so is the annual Buffalo Roundup. The park corals its 1500 bison for vaccination and auction, and the animals stampede through the hills. It's very impressive. I thought your note was interesting about CSP having the potential to be a national park. The way I understand it, the U.S. government was seriously looking at making it a national park in the first decades of the 20th century, but the state wanted to maintain control, so they quick made it a state park before the feds could act. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter who administers it - it's a beautiful park. Your pictures attest to that. |
| 7th July 2007 stacy | beautiful - From: The Many Waterfalls of Yellowstone Amy, you take wonderful pictures and I love the shots of the waterfalls. They are simply beautiful. |
| 4th July 2007 capsfan2002 | Agree - From: Artsy Sioux Falls Yes, there is great variety in style and type. Lots and lots of sculptures and statues. From classic to abstract. Visit their web site at: http://www.sculpturewalksiouxfalls.com/ |
| 28th June 2007 capsfan2002 | ND - From: The Biggest Buffalo in the World Actually, I grew up in ND and still live here. Just have never gotten around until recently to see our off the beaten track sites. Will keep adding what I see! |
| 27th June 2007 joyce appel | North Dakota - From: The Biggest Buffalo in the World When the NCT Conference was iin N. Dakota, I planned a tourist trip that took people into the highlights of S. Dakota and N. Dakota. I planned the trip before the Conference and we had one large 15 passenger van and a small van that we took. Saw many of the sites that you are going to. I planned mornings as driving and seeing things together. Afternoon was optional sites since we had 2 vans, but keeping 17 people happy was a chore!!!! Teddy Roosevelt was some rough and tough guy! I hope you have not left the area yet. Going to the Medora Musical is a must. We were told by locals not to miss it and it was worth it. The Badlands and Roosevelt Nat. Park are really massive areas, aren't they and beautiful in their own way. |

We should go back and do more in Medora than just see the show. :) I would like to see the golf course Bully Pulpit, I have heard so much about the scenery. |

| 3rd January 2007 capsfan2002 | Disturbing - From: Only 3 hours and lots to see in DC I probably should have had him positioned in more of a "sitting" position to achieve the ultimate affect my nephew was looking for rather than the standing position I chose. What can I say...that's an 8 year old boy for ya. |
