Nowadays, the little town is a weird mix of cultures, cuisine and lifestyles. Reaching La Colmena is fairly easy with several daily conexions from the Asuncion Coach Station. In La Colmena, you have hotel facilities in the name of Fukiyama (not sure how to spell) with private ensuite facilities and breakfast included.
