First things first - My name is Courtney, I'm 22 years old, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Guelph in Canada!

I plan on attending teachers college in the Fall of 2012. In the meantime, however, I have moved to Xiaolan, China for 4 months to teach English as a second language. I chose to come here because it will give me great classroom experience, which will help me further my teaching career back in Canada, it will allow me to experience a culture other than my own, and let's not forget the part where I get to travel some of the world!!!

After being here for about a week now, I realized that I have so much I want to write down and share with everyone. I think this blog will be a great way to keep in touch with everyone from home, and it will give them the opportunity to share my adventure with me! Many months and years down the road, I will enjoy reading through my experience here in China - and wherever else my travels take me!
