Well mate, go well and keep trusting, I have loved eharing all of your stories, may there be many more of how God is using you. Lol Daddy B x x
You lucky boy! Bully, what can i say, that all sounds so awesome, i am very jelous! I particularly found the part about you 'pretending' to be a backup to peely hillarious as i can imagine you giving some cock and bull story about the african bush!! Mate i wish i was there to hear it!! haha. Glad that you are enjoying an awesome time in Kenya and that you are being exposed to a totally different culture, it really is mind blowing isn't it. Alls i can say is enjoy every day because they will last with you forever. I still think about the friends i made in South Africa all the time. Anyway mate, take care and i cant wait to welcome you home. Much love, Greeny xx
Missing you at Borders! Hi Matt. Good to read your blogs again after the intermission! Sounds as if you're having lots of fun on your travels. Nell is envious of you holding the Koala (they're probably not as cuddly as they look!). We had coffee at Borders with Naomi this eve and really missed your charming presence (it's not quite the same without you)! Were pleased they had a Daily Mail left for us! Thinking of you and praying for you. Take care. Vince and Nell x
Wow...it's already and a half months down the line! Hey Matt :) so good to read all your fun and frolics so far in Brisbane! Sounds like you are having a truly awesome time :) And the part in this entry about the pregnancy testing sounds very amusing!!! Haha. So when are you hitting this island with this new friend of yours? Have you many plans for the weekend?! When is the weekend you are planning to camp with Clair and Matt? Well our lives are all keeping busy at the moment, but we are good :) really glad to hear from you again. Looking forward to our next skype session infact! And seeing this new hairstule of yours...me and mom are hoping you haven't gone too short, haha. So how brown are you on a scale of 1 -10??! The weather has been rubbish again here the past few days, so we are again extremely envious of the top temperatures you are experiencing on your travels!! Anyway hope you are keeping well. Glad to see you sent your love to me and Sar too in your facebook comment to mom, not!!!!!!!! I am missing you a lot a lot, crazy amounts in fact, its still quite surreal knowing you aren't coming home in the evenings from just bein around the corner on a weekday evening/weekend at borders...we all like to go in there from time to time just to remember the times we saw you in there! We went in the other day for a starbucks and saw one of your book reviews on show, now Matt had you really read the boy in striped pyjamas?! HAHA. Anyway hope you are keeping well, looking forward to hearing/seeing you on skype at the weekend again hopefully! Love you loads Matt and sending hugs and kisses x x x x
Pregnancy testing Good to get responding to Blogging again son, can't wait to see the hair or lack of it! Re the pregnancy test approach, maybe you can let them know that we have dip stick tests in the UK, which maybe less problematic, all you would have to do then is stand at the rear of the cow and wait for them to wee, trying to get your dip stick underneath the waterfall so to speak, can visualise you doing it and demonstrating it to the farm folk!! Am e mailing you from my new office 338 Euston Road, on the fourth floor of a high storey building. It feels very different in my COO office and grown up! Things are good at home, even if mum and I are a little weary, we are very much looking forward to a few days away over the Easter weekend with Ales. Colin and Joyce think your bed is ace, and are very comfortable, fitting into no 11 very well. They are searching for somewhere to live big time. Having spent the weekend getting your bedroom ready with Nan nad Grand, I managed to conduct another post Matt Audit, and it is official.....cereal consumption has gone down by 60% since you left, meaning that you managed to comsume nearly two thirds of the the household cereal. Also, I don't find those quirky little trails of cereal from the cupboard to the table, to the fridge and then to the spoon draw!!! That said, I wished they were there as you are very much missed at home, take care son, keep trusting and be assured of our love and prayers for you, Dad. xx
Time for an update methinks! Hi there Matt, am writing with a request to get blogging again, so that your followers can live the experience with you. BIG relief around the Molineux following a 3 pointer at the Palace last night. We saw pictures of Neil Warnock looking thoroughly miserable (like a drowned rat!) as it was tipping down, cold and squally. Not the Roland one I presume that Unc Clive was referring to, as he seems to have moved on to a different place! He apparantly was not impressed with the pen. decision, as for us it was a joy to listen to Ebanks slot it neatly across the sodden turf into the corner. Things are good at home, Colin and Joyce are moving into your bedroom towards the end of the month, don't worry we have given it a good old 'Ousting!!! You are missed, and all of your previously held records on the Wii are quickly falling to aspiring ski jumpers and atheletes, Mommy B is now officially a professional Ski jumping champion! Sending a hug, and get blogging mate, Daddy B. x
WOW! Wow Matt! There isn't much more you can say really when I read your blog and look at the fab photos. Good to hear you are making the most of your time! The size of that ship in Sydney harbour was unimaginable! The city of Sydney certainly looks beautiful with loads of interesting landmarks and sculptures. Every blessing for the next phase and can't wait to logon and see what's next! Hugs, Barbara.
Brisbane is great So glad you are enjoying Brisbane . My rellies live there so I have spent some time staying with them some years ago. Glad you got to the Botanical gardens, amazing colours of plants. If you can, take a boat ride (old paddle steamer)down the river , you get an amazing view of the city from there.
Anway Matt, hope you have a Grade A every day!! (Strine for great day!!) God bless, Lesley x
Sounds hectic at your end!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi there Son, not sure if your Blog entries are inteded to make us green with envy, but they are! Swimming in the middat sun, golf at a whim and beers on tap, I can hear Mick now saying 'it doesn't get any better than this Matt'. Saturday here in Newbury has been good, we have managed to garden, put some colour with some plants on a hanging basket, prune and yes 'cut the grass'. Mom has been homemaking with new curtains for the lounge which are groovy, we have watched some sport which has been poor, Wolves keep going backwards and Ireland beat England by one point and the game was both ugly and didn't really liven up until the last 10 minutes. It was great to Skype and chat again, and it looks like we have finally managed to sort the Bank problems you have been experiencing which have been frustrating to you and us, Laura the lass in Halifax was really helpful, and at last we got some decent customer care from the 'people who listen!'. All in all, it has been a pretty high acheivement day, with good opportunity to relax. I am feeling I need a game of golf, so will be contacting my play mate Andy as there has not been much 'play' with work being so busy. Mum has now finished her first month in the new job and things are going well and beginning to settle into a pattern. The girls are missing you, but we are enjoying 'living the experience' with you. Sending a big hug, hope the rugby tomoz is enjoyable and that Brissie win for Mick and Fi and all the guys at the game. Will catch up tomorrow on Skype, make sure you get enough sleep so that you can keep up with all that is going on!! Until the next time, lol Daddy B x
Hi Matty, Thanks for your latest blog! It was great to catch up on all your news! It sounds as if you are really enjoying yourself, it should be alittle more relaxing in Brisbane! Joel and Pete have just arrived back from Glendale footy, and it sounds as if they missed you playing! Life is manic here I am now in my third week of teaching practice and its going ok though lots of hard work. Joel has just recovered from a heavy cold and it feels as if we have been back from half term for about 2 weeks instead of only 2 days!
Does claire remember the climbing frame that she donated to you when she left for OZ 14 years ago? I can't believe its that long.
Well its lovely to chat with you, we must try and set up skype so that we can speak to you in person!
Love to you, and hope you finally manage to sort out your bank stuff and your mobile phone. We have all been praying for you that it will be sorted out quickly.
Lots of hugs and love Lisa, Pete, Joel and Duncan xxxxx
Have you been to Australia Zoo? Great to catch up with your latest exploits, Matt. It sounds all pretty normal to me - strange hostels, last minute rushes, cash machines not working, lovely weather, beautiful scenery, yummy food, pretty girls!?!?!?! Have you been to Australia Zoo yet? It was one of the highlights for Helen and Sam when they were in Brisbane. Yesterday Spring put in an appearance, so it's not too horrid here.............may change tomorrow though! We hope you continue to have a marvellous time. I miss the hair ruffles! :-) Love Jan and Roger
Great to live the experience with you son! Thanks for the blog update, which gives us a great feel for what a brilliant week you had, which I know where not without it's challenges. So pleased that the are real highlights and great memories, looking forward to seeing the photo's, actually ANY photo's on the Blog! Mick is a such a great mate, and needless to say having been at Mick and Fi's place I know you will have a brilliant time. You obviously chose well re the time you had and what you acheived, spectacular seeing you had difficulty getting at your hard earnt cash, no thanks to your Bank! I fear for Uncle Clive's next blog entry, as I imagine the slate grey skies of Bolton are still with him, albeit the skies around the Molineux are shining a little brighter after a weekend that we both felt was more half full than half empty. Paul and Ali were with us on Saturday, all three girls are good and send their love. We walked on the common in warm sunshine, which felt good for Newbury. Folk back at Glendale are asking how are you, most have your Blog so that is great that they can follow your progress, all send their love. It was great to chat this morning, thanks for calling....looking forward to when your mobie is active again and we can text. One to two changes in the house since you left, Sarah is now the IKEA chief flat pack construction engineer and has filled your shoes admirably, no doubt you will take the credit for her apprenticeship!!! You will be releived that there appears to be some sunlight at the long tunnel called AppleCare and the iPod saga, hope mine is still functional and looking forward to getting my hands on your replacement. Anyway, another long day drawing to an end, looking forward to some chill time at home, take care an be assured of our love.....Daddy B
With or without! Sorry to hear that your week in Syndey was perhaps more challenging than you may have liked or wished for. But great to see the "provision" of such a mate mate as picked you up from the airport. Things here are starting to resemble Spring if you screw up your eyes a bit and stand outside at noon! I trust you will not be encountering a need for thick woolies where you are going next. Have fun in Bris!
Every blessing,
Barbara
Hope your having a fab time! Hi Matt,
Hope you are not too lonely in Sydney all on your own. The sights must be fantastic, fancy eating on the seafront outside the opera house! What is the hostel like? I understand you are moving on tomorrow for your last two nights.
We are missing you loads, its not the same without you here and your mum is missing your grandma kisses!!
We do hope you continue to enjoy all the sights and experiences. We love ypu lots and are praying for you!
Godbless, lots of love, P,L,Jand D xxxx
Raffles I remember my visit to Raffles and I believe the famous drink is a ginsling or something like that! It is a beautiful old colonial building and very expensive to stay there!!
So off to Oz! I should have lent you my book called"Strine" which is a dictionary of words you might need. try this one: "Egg Nisher" -a mechanical device for cooling and purifying the air in a room!
"Gloria Soame " - a beautiful house! "Split Nair Dyke" - a continual sensation of pain in the head, as in "I got a split nair dyke."
I'll lety you have some more next time!! God bless, Lesley x
Friendship is a great thing Hi there Matt, having had a wonderful time in Singa's with the Engers and then to be met by Mick Dundee (alias what a Crock) in Sydney really has affirmed to Mom and I what brilliant friends we have. The shampoo incident sounded nasty, bet Mick laughed! Has he said yet....'gees, doesn't get better than this'. Can just imagine the two of you eating seafood overlooking the harbour, what a great time you are having. We are well, Meg and Sar are having a good rest from school, they went to see Pink Panther 2 with Mom and Joey, and were full of the one liners, including the reemrgence of 'damburgerrrrr!'. I met them for dinner, you guessed Nando's.
Well, hopofully Mick will get the boys into shape whilst in La Manga for this Sunday's biggie against Cardiff, how we need to satrt winnign again! We are thinking of you lots, Mom keeps saying...'wonder what Matt is doing now?' which is great, living the experience with you. Go well, keep safe and keep trusting Son
much love Daddy B
Australia watch out! Matt - great to hear some more from your time in Singapore. Hope your last day is full of fun and that you are excited about the adventures that await you in Sydney! We missed you last night at the first Glendale evening service. It was really great. Safe travel to Oz and looking forward to your next blog entry. Jen x
Sad to leave. I can understand why you are sad to leave Singapore. It has really been a great start to your four months and and has eased you in very gently. Don't expect the royal treatment when you get to Kenya! I am so pleased that you are having such a brilliant time. Love you, speak soon. Mom xx
You need to go further to break the curse Glad to hear all is well hope you have a great time in Singapore but you need to press on- we shouldn't be losing to Burnley! I just had a one day intensive ante natal course (watching videos of babies been born) so have been feeling slightly sick for most of the day. Hope all is well- stay safe. Dan and Ruth
Slackin'! Mommy B says get your finger out , update the blog and get some pictures on. Church went well this morning, not bad 20 minutes from Skype to being in church including a shower! It was great chatting to you this morning, God is teaching me new stuff about being a dad whilst you are away, which must be cool for you without me telling you tidy your den and clean the bathroom! even got you into the kids talk at Glendale today. Clearly you are having a great time with Nick and Suz, they are such a good family and sound a real hoot to be with, and having found a kindred spirit re footie manager in Nick, incredible!! Hoping you have a great last full day with the Gaiver-Enger's, and sending a BIG hug, Daddy B, Mommy B, little bully and liittle little bully x x x x

Daddy Day Care It is really great Matt imagining you in your Daddy Day Care role, slipping off for a quiet nap whilst all chaos let's loose with the kids. Heard you had a little trouble with Isaac's swimming gear, never mind son, all good practice for the future!!! Loved chatting this morning, had been feeling larry no mates as you had caught up with Mom and now I find myself in a female dominated environment! What an entry, feels a little like ALL or nothing. It is great to catch to get all this news down on paper and should prvide quite a lot of context for your adoring public sunshine. The baggies were doomed today to relagation follwoing a 2-0 loss to Liverpool, Engalnd have enforced the follow on and are chasing a second victory against the Windies, they have just over a day to do this.
