South of Perth theres a lot to see

I was lucky to have family that live south of Perth so really had a localrsquos view of Oz for the first time. A lot of time while I have been travelling the things you see are on the back packing routes so it is mainly backpackers you see. Western Oz is the exception although we still came across a few the land has so much to offer the only way to really see it would be to hire a car. With my

Adelaide to Perth via the Indian Pacific friends and Family

My last update had me in Byron Bay from here I went to Sydney and Melbourne but all this was achieved by overnight buses in three days before arriving in Adelaide to meet my friend Faraz. After spending such a long length of time on a bus it was refreshing to get out and stretch my legs before resting up on a couch instead of having to share a hostel. Much as I love hostel life I love being able t

Birthday on Fraser and More

Firstly to finish my other blog off. The Whitsundays were beautiful most tours will take you to a long beach but this beach is the whitest cleanest beach I have ever seen. The weather was perfect and the beach was even more perfect. The boat we were on did not allow you to take bags with zips so had to take a bin liner worth of stuff and didn't get a photo but trust me it's worth a visit. We then

Oz Queensland Cairns to Airlie Beach

I arrived in Brisbane on the 18th June on a cold overcast day not what I expected for Oz. I was hoping to have a bed at a couch surfing friend but unfortunately that fell through so decided and the spur of the moment to do a domestic flight to Cairns. So I had pretty much spent a day and a half in an airport or on a plane. I was suffering major jet lag but looking forward to Oz too much to care.

Off to Oz but I'll stop at Singapore first

I arrived in Singapore at 7am on Monday 16th June after getting the night bus from KL. The night bus was great it was clean comfortable and quick. It only cost me 30 RM which is about 5 pounds. Also the great thing about night buses is you get free accommodation so a great money saver. The transport system in Singapore makes the place very easy to navigate if you know where yoursquore going.
Bye Bye Malaysia

I have been in Malaysia for nearly a month and have loved it. The country is so varied and on so many levels. I have travelled down from the National Park Tama Negra which is in the centre of Malaysia. The park is easily accessible by train and bus. With most journeys stopping off in Jerantut. From here I took a 3 hour boat ride up to the National Park the same journey can be made back but takes

Free internet update from Malaysia

Firstly anyone who reads this I am dedicating this one to my brother as it's his birthday today 6th June and I am upset because I am not there. I am also upset that I can not leave Kota Bharu as it is a national holiday and all the trains and buses are booked. So I wish I had stayed on my beach island for one more day. I travelled across the top of Malaysia from Butterworth on the west to Kota B

Malaysia

I left Thailand for Malaysia arriving on Monday 26th May took the ferry from Ko Samui to Surranthani which is a lovely city but only spent a day there so have limited experience there. I arranged a air conditioned bus to take me to Kota Bharu on the east side but the tour guide gave some rubbish about a problem at the border so I had to cross at another border but this would be 25 pounds more I r

China and more China

Although this entry is stated to be in Beijing it is actually an overview of all the places that I visited within China. So far China has been my favourite country because the food has been amazing and so varied. It is a good idea to eat in a group and share dishes to do it the traditional Chinese way. Loving the free tea that comes with most meals so don't forget to top up on that Jasmine tea is

Laos

We left Vietnam for Laos our driver was a total nutter even by Asian standards he nearly hit cattle and cyclist he would say its good driver but I would say more luck than judgement. To cross the border we had to pay 30 for a 30 day visa and its well worth it. We head from the border to the capital Vientiane on Tuesday 22nd April. The city is well laid out and not at all busy with the Mekong Rive

Still on tour so although this starts on Saturday 5th April in Ho Chi Minh City formerly Saigon this also tells you more about other parts of Vietnam as it's easier to write blog entries this way.Saigon is an exceptionally busy city with a well established back packers area. It has a lot for people to come and visit including a covered market called Ben Thanh although not massive in size it didn't

I left Thailand to join another tour. This tour was of Cambodia. We started in Siem Reap on Wednesday 26th March where Angkor Wat is based. This temple and Teh Temples around it are amazing there are about 47 temples within close proximity to one another including the jungle temple where Tomb Raider was filmed. You could easily spend a whole day going round the temples. Make sure to visit Angkor W

Thailand first stop

Today I arrived in Bangkok. Going from 16 degrees in Hong Kong to 35 degrees in Thailand really knocked me for 6. I got my taxi to my hotel which was not on the map that the tourist desk had so we drove around for hours till we found the road. Not like the London cabbies at home with the knowledge. The hotel was beautiful with lovely surroundings but I was surprised to see my hotel was also a stop

I am cheating on this Blog as am in China but was in Japan I promise. The net and things in general are expensive in travelling terms so if you are trying to save money then Tokyo is not the place to go. However the people and the sites are well worth the visit. Ueno is lovely the park has been there for years and the zoo has loads of different animals to be expected. The main attraction being t

Hello one and all. I am currently in Mongolia in a place called Ulaanbaatar I was expecting the town to be a bit of a shanty town but it is actually really built up which was not what I expected. The roads are really dangerous and there doesn't really seem to be any traffic enforcement and the roads all covered in potholes so drives constantly swerve. We left Moscow a nearly a week ago where we ha
