I was amazed by the beauty and hospitality of this small town on the BIG Island of Hawaii! I stayed at Arnott's Hostel it was lots of fun in the evening (Beer, meeting new people, and just hanging out in the humid weather), the owner even gives a Pizza party every week for free(all you can eat dominos pizza) for anyone that stays there as a thank you, it was nice and nice looking guys too lolololol. I have been to Vietnam two times. My most recent was Aug. 2006 here are several photos of my most recent visit to Vietnam. Vietnam is very affordable for even the lowest shoestring budget. Hostels abound everywhere in the De Tham Street area of Ho Chi Minh city. Food is very affordable also, and everyone is helpful and nice. You can order anytype of drugs you need over the counter in Vietnam without a prescription. Any questions just ask.... read more

Ive been to Cambodia 4 times in the past few years. I have attached pictures from Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and a few smaller places along the way. The temples of Angkor are AMAZING try to spend atleast 1 full day ATLEAST there. There is so much to see and so many temple complexes to go through. Dont forget the Balloon ride and climbing up to the top of one of the temples to watch the sunset it is somenthing you'll never forget. Be careful for the monkeys around the temples they do bite if you provoke them, and watch for snakes in the temples. Cambodia is so inexpensive you could spend months there and not make a dent in your budget. You can get your Visa's in Bangkok or upon arrival now I think, but ... read more

Ive been to Turkey three times in the past 12 years. These photos are of my trips to Istanbul the capital city. Turkey is very inexpensive and very affordable for the most budget traveller. There are lots of hostels, I stayed at the Paris Hostel a couple of times while in Istanbul. There are lots of things to do in Istanbul, Blue mosque, St. Sofia, the Turkish Baths, The Bazaars, and dont forget to haggle your cost down. You can walk almost anywhere in Istanbul, atleast I did, but taxi's are really cheap if you cant do the distance and all the hills. Ive attached some photos of my travels to Turkey.... read more

Ive been to Hungary 2 times, this is my most recent trip to Budapest and the Hungarian countryside. Budapest the capital is very inexpensive and very affordable on almost any budget. The Buda side of the city is older with lots of markets and castles for exploring. The Pest side of the city I found to be more laid back were most of the Embassies are located. There on the Pest side you'll find the main train station Keleti station where you can find trains to all destinations within Europe and also to Istanbul, Turkey. I found the best restaurants on the Buda side of the city in particular around the Moszkva terre station. Ive attached some photos, again if you have any questions just ask.... read more

Ive been to Sicily two times while in the Military. You can always see Mt. Etna and its peak smoking from the hot steam inside the Volcano. The food in Sicily is AWESOME, the meatballs are to die for, also lots of fresh seafood. Fields of blood oranges, and you can be in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden come upon a lady offering "her services" so to speak on the side of the road....No kidding! I will never forget that sight. Anyway here are a few pictures.... read more

Ive only been to Zambia once. I crossed at Victoria Falls check point, and went over to Livingstone. Watch your belongings keep it close by. The people of Zambia are amazing though, very helpful and friendly. The prices are very affordable but be sure to haggle with the local prices. The crossing at Victoria Falls is very easy and you can obtain your visa at the crossing for about usd $25 depends which border agent you get that day! There are lots of handicraft sales on the road leading to Livingstone be sure to pick up some of the Zambezi Teak wood pieces shaped into small animals and other shapes. Ive attached some photos.... read more

You can obtain a 30 day visa at Windhoek Int'l airport upon arrival. I stayed at the hostel (Cardboard box) at about usd $4 a night very reasonable. The sunsets are unbelievable in Namibia. Its is also VERY hot here, I left Windhoek by driving to Victoria Falls via the Caprivi Strip which took about 24 hours. You'll see some of the photos below. Any questions just ask.... read more

I have been to Zimbabwe only once, Me and some friends drove over from Windhoek, Namibia to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe through the Caprivi strip and Botswana. Victoria Falls is breathtaking, be careful if you go there do not get in the water anywhere near the top of the falls, you will be swept away. However you can go rafting below the falls which is lots of fun, you can also bungie from the bridge that goes across from Victoria Falls to Zambia. You can hear the falls from miles away and see the spray also. I stayed at the SprayView hotel in Victoria Falls, about usd $45 a night and you get lots for your money in Zimbabwe. You get treated very well at any restaurant you visit, the food is very inexpensive and you get ... read more
