Hello all! I've put this travel blog together because..well, it's just easier than sending pictures through emails to update the people I know..I've slacked off recently in sending out those emails, and have probably lost touch with some of you as I am not the best with long distance correspondence. Sorry about that..There are more pictures in here than in the emails I sent because of no size limitations..so there are more than a few. Also, I just set this up in the last couple weeks so the pictures don't have the correct dates or order but..oh well

I've been in Asia for almost 3 years now and have traveled quite a bit while I have been over here, as the pictures will attest to. To pay my way I have taken up positions teaching "good old" English to the people of these parts and familiarizing them with how we do things back in the USA.

This has been a very rewarding experience for me..and I'm not really sure when the experience will end, if ever. This blog is mainly for letting my pictures do the talking with a few quips added by me here and there. I really don't get that detailed like some of the other bloggers on this forum..but in my defense, I just put up 3 years of travel up in about 2 weeks..It's possible that I may add more story in the future when I have time or if I remember things..but until then, enjoy the pics..

Traveling throughout Asia...

Bali was everything you could want from a tropical paridise; culture, food, scenery, white beaches, dolphins, car bomb detectors..The scuba diving there was also excellent! Still don't have those diving pics yet.. That's enough words..I'll just let the pictures do the talking on this one...... read more

After some serious hiking throughout Siem Reap with all the temples, I hung out in Sihanouk ville for a little while with the mission of relaxing, soaking up the sun on a hammock, reading a good book, getting drunk, and making some money playing Texas holdem. Mission accomplished! It's pretty hot over in Cambodia, and the breeze coming from the ocean cooled thing off nicely over there. I spent a lot of time with a magnificent local girl there, and she showed me around her place. With her I was able to eat things that the locals do that weren't even on the menus..and I must say, it was pretty damn good food! We also made our way over to Koh Rung, a little island about 2 hours out, which was extremely peaceful. It seemed at ... read more

I've just grouped all my diving in one big lump. Asia has many great places to scuba dive. Don't have my Bali pics on here yet as they are on a disc in Korea at a friends place. The pictures don't do the experience justice. I used different cameras for every dive because they are all rented..some cameras are better than others...and it was a bit of a learning curve to getting better shots. However, I did get in some pretty cool ones..Enjoy!... read more

Osaka was great. The people were really nice. I usually did not know what I was eating because most of the places I went to either didn't have English or pictures of the food. I pretty much just picked random things on the menu. However..Every single thing I ate was incredibly good! Definitely want to get back there some time...Was having too much fun to take pictures..... read more

Angkor Wat is amazing..Civilization and nature forming together was a sight indeed. I did the 3 day pass for the temples which is what I would suggest for people to do. Any less is not enough, anymore and you will be templed out. We're talking about 24 hours solid of walking around and site seeing. Had a guide the first day and then did the rest on our own..It was really a sureal time in my life...Oh, lots of pictures on this one.... read more

Boracay is a very relaxing place to stay..although not the easiest to get to. You'll figure that out if you ever plan your trip for there. Totaly worth it though. The sand on the beaches are probably some of the finest in the world. The locals are able to make huge sand castles out of it because it is so fine..... read more

I did a lot of sight seeing in Bejing. I went in the fall and the colors were amazing. Camera didn't do it justice. The places I visited were: The Great Wall (Mutyianu), Summer Palace, Ming Tomb, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Eight Great Sites Park, Fragrant Hill Park, and the Sacred Way...whew!... read more

Didn't stay too long here, as it was really just a jumping point to get to Sipindan. I believe this is in Jacques Cousteaus top 5 places to scuba dive. Any pictures I have of scuba diving are all lumped together in a different section...Sipindan was awesome..... read more
