In a land known for chocolate and beer, Brussels surely did not disappoint! French fries, chocolate, waffles and beer one could lead a very happy life, fat but happy! Cobble stone streets and a palace fit for a king, Brussels lets one be swept away with its beauty and history! Arriving at 7am on a Saturday morning, one would think that there may be some people about opening coffee shops and baking waffles, waiting for the masses to ascend. This proved me wrong, these streets were dead, the only soles in the city were those of keen tourists getting early morning photos, braving the cold to do so. Guten Tag Deutchland Two 11 hour flights, a sleep over in Seoul and 11 movies later I have arrived!!! let the fun and games begin! It seems my thing to leave home on a beautiful day that was 40 degrees only to arrive in my destination of -4. day one. 5:30am and -4 degrees outside, 9am we had SNOW!!!!! our all day adventure begins with a walk in the snowfall to the main river in the city and the discovery of a mystry chruch "3 kings", followed by a visit to the Stadel Museum (were we also sneaked our way into some exhibition that was showing) Cold and hungry we made our way into the city market place for bratwurst and mulled wine! tonight beers and city adventures??? i think so... read more
