I checked into Amaji's "hugging saint" Ashram yesterday (Sunday) around 12:30 pm. the night before that I met with the 2 canadians, 2 french girls and a german gal at a local restaurant.. Last night I took a nature walk through the forest from 7pm-10pm. It was a good way to pass time and exercise since I really haven't done much. I was hoping I'd lose some weight, but so far, I dont think I have. Or maybe I dont notice it. The food has been treating me right, so no diarrhea, vomiting, etc.. *knock on wood*. 2:50 pm here. 3rd day. Things are good. Of course it'd be good. Yesterday morning at 8 am, the hotel arranged a taxi to take me to the famous Kerala Backwater Tour. On the way, we picked up another traveler. Oh how lovely life works out, especially when you are on the road. We pick up Bhav, my new friend for life, the BFF of India. Yes my friends back home.. I'm trying not to let my spirits run low. It's only the 2nd morning and Im getting restless. I didn't do any booking ahead of time, as everyone that has been here had informed me how easy it is to navigate around here.. now I feel like Im wasting my time. Hello my friends, families, lovers.. I was irresponsible enough to not wear bug spray this morning before i went up to the upper deck for my lovely indian breakfast.. I chose to sit outside to observe the scenery, not thinking how attractive my legs were to the buggies in the area.. I dont have too much to write about, since i arrived here at 11 pm last night.. and its 8 am here.. i really havent experienced much. Aloha mi Amigos! Mi Muchachos, muchachas.. My biggest, pettiest fear has been conquered.. the terribly long flight from LAX to Singapore.. about 17 hours from LAX to Taipei, Taiwan airport (which I wasn't informed that we would be stopping there; According to the ticket and travel agent, it'd just be one stop).. but no biggie, we only stopped for an hour. I had a bowl of Beef stew noodle soup, so so but I could taste the Taiwan-ness flavor in it nonetheless. Then got back on the plane to Singapore.. about a 4 hour flight.
