| 8th September 2008 Mir Ali | Thimphu and BattamBang - From: Where is Castaways? I looked up Thimphu, Bhutan and Battambang, Cambodia on Google Earth. Thimphu seems like a small place, mountainous and probably very cold in November. It is in the Himalayan range with Mount Everest to the West. BattamBang is the second largest city in Cambodia. It has an airport and a river flowing through the city. It is very green. Jan, Feb and Mar would be cool to pleasant but after that I think it will get hot and humid. Because at County, since they haven't paid any vendors in a year (Synthes is owed over $800K), we no longer have any Synthes or Stryker implants. Most of the small frag sets are missing screws of the most commonly used sizes and there is no more Synthes locking. I am told that this will be rectified next week when the new contracts are signed, but we will see. It is another wrinkle in treating 6-7 week old ankle fractures. |
