Eagerly awaiting your return! - From: Making the Mexican Rounds
Hiya Tenielle, Great news, I've been invited for an interview for MPT, it's on April 30th and I can't wait. Although I don't actually know anyone who's gone through the standardized 4 x 15 minute station format yet, but I've asked a few people to see if they know someone. Funny how this all started, I end up hurting my back before a marathon, start seeing you, and my whole life changes. I really appreciate all your help and influence, and look forward to seeing you when you return. Looks like you're really enjoying yourselves, and what a great place to end your holiday in the Mayan Riviera. Jason & I went on an Adventure Tour through our hotel when we were there last Christmas, rapelled down into a cenote, cruised down a zip-line and went canoeing in the same day. It was a blast. Enjoy your beach time! Cheers, Lynn - Lynn McConnell

Panama - YIKES - From: Panama City and the Panama Canal
Hi Miss - I was at my sorority meeting (yes I belong to a sorority - ha ha) - anyway a lady there just returned from Bolivia and Panama, etc. I told her my niece was there too - she said to tell you to be very, very carefuly in Panama - can be very dangerousd as I am sure you know - but be extra careful girls! She said Bolivia was great too - they also went to the island where all the near extinction animals and yes, birds are - can't think of the name of the island - anyway sounded like quite an experience too - look forward to more pictures too. High of 10°C today! - From: Panama City and the Panama Canal
Environment Canada predicts a high of +10°C today! It's been so long since anyone here spoke about positive Celsius values that I had to search for a few seconds for where that key is found on the keyboard!! Is there any type of rough plan for your journey, or do you just decide a few days before you leave where the next destination is? It sounds like although you're sleep deprived, you're blissfull, kind of like fashionable (but often smelly) hobos...keep sending the pics and interesting information! Travel safe, Lynn - Lynn McConnell

Did you visit Macchu Pichu? - From: The Floating Islands
Hey Tenielle, I watched Motorcycle Diaries last week, and then I realised that their journey is kind of like yours. Pretty cool that you're actually experiencing it especially when you're still so young (coming from my relatively wise 31 years!) Screwed up my back again, and now had occasion to REALLY miss you, Kyle & John make fun that they don't do it like "Tenielle" does it, in funny voices with funny faces. Actually, they're both doing a great job, but I still miss you! The clinic is hilarious as ever, I'm supporting Kyle's gambling habit by being the first to contribute to the swear jar, put in place to tame the potty mouths of the rig workers!! Anyway, hope you're getting great, safe tans and meeting lots of people. Have you been able to buy any local artisan work or are you waiting until just before you leave so you don't have to haul it everywhere with you? Travel safe! Cheers, Lynn - Lynn McConnell

Hello world travellers! - From: Guess What ?? We are in Chile
Hey Jolene! I love getting your updates from your trip! I've got a picture of your waterfalls as the background on my computer right now, it's so beautiful! Work is work, we have lots of clients, Jenn and I are up to 12 each now, a lot busier than the 4 each we had in December! Adam's moved up to Fort St. John so we have a new ET working with the boys, her names Pam, she's from Newfoundland and is doing a great job! I've found, bought and am waiting to move into a new condo in Millwoods, I think you'll get back a week or 2 after my "I'm finally moving out" party, but you'll have to come over and check it out anyways! and I was overjoyed to be offered a permanent contract the same week I got the mortgage, so now I know I'll have a job to make the payments with! Matt and I are still going strong, we went aways for a ski trip last weekend and it's true, the Alberta Rockies have some of the best conditions I've ever seen (I've been skiing ~5 years)!! So that's all my news from Edmonton, we miss you lots, oh, and Dee, Kam and Pam have a guy with a mullet on program right now! I thought of you! Take care, Janine - Janine

What a dull life I lead! - From: Foz de Iguazu
Hey girls, I just got back from Florida, and it was positively bland compared to what you're seeing and doing. Incredible pictures and amazing experiences! I liked the girl with the doggy purse's costume...really simple. We are into final rehearsals for the workshop shows at EMT Jo. Daniel is with Pirates of Penzance and won't be finishing the workshop...only Kristin, John, Chris and I are left of the "oldies". Brad and Barb had a baby...a little boy named Samuel...Barb and Sam are doing well. My son Ted leaves for Japan in March...will be teaching english there for a year...I'm jealous. Keep safe and healthy! - Bob H

Need more pictures of "local" scenery!!! - From: Foz de Iguazu
Come on, Tenielle, travel all that way, and there's some glaringly obvious omissions from your stories...where's the beef? Are there any good looking men or only transvestites? Still cold here, although it's been freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw, usually ending with freeze! Do you have a return date for your tickets or are you just going with the flow (or until you run out of money - although that doesn't look like a problem based on your gambling winnings!) Is there no other way to get to Bolivia but by the death train (why do you call it that, by the way?) Anyway, be safe and look forward to your return. Cheers,Lynn. - Lynn McConnell

Living vicariously through you - From: CARNIVAL!!!!
Hey Tenielle, Sounds like you're having way too much fun,I'm a little concerned you may have upset your circadian rhythms to the point you may never recover...can you tell I'm jealous?? I got up at 4:45 this morning (mostly so I had enough time to make a latte before I left) to swim with the Edmonton Triathlon Club at 5:45! I swam for 75 minutes then drove back to Leduc to be at work for 8 am. How's that for excitement! Seriously though, I hope you're having a fantastic and safe time, as well as soaking up as much culture as you can while you're there. And if the urge suddenly comes upon you, start singing the words from West Side Story that Maria sings to herself in the mirror; "I feel pretty, I feel pretty" (I went and saw it at the citadel last Sunday - plus I saw Anger Management again, too, hilarious scene on the bridge!) I wrote a letter to Dr. Laura May at the U of A, she's the new admissions chair of MPT. Asking her to consider my reference letters. My GPA is 3.44 and she still thinks it's low. Says if I bring it up to 3.6 I'll have a much better chance of getting in. Well no duh, but that means I'd have to take 4 classes and get A's in all of them before I'd get that much of an increase in my GPA. So I'm soldiering on. Looking forward to seeing you when you return. You'll have to pop in for a latte at my new house in Leduc. The coffee alone is worth the visit. Take care! Lynn - Lynn McConnell
