We are 4 hours ahead here so I guess it would make it 10 am at home. The flight was long and uncomfortable and we both have elephant ankles. We caught a shuttle to a little hostel downtown it is a Jewish hostel and everyone speaks Hebrew our room is the size of a closet and in the bathroo http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Buenos-Aires/blog-2913.html Counting Down Hey EveryoneOnly 14 days left until Tenielle and Jolene are off on another adventure. It is a beautiful town on the edge of the Andes mountains. It is pretty cold here so we are stuck wearing the same outfit for 3 days...hehe..good thing there is alot of good shopping here. We got some good footage of jolene swimming in the lake and me breaking the toilet cause my le http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Chubut/blog-2987.html mountain climbing So....we woke up at 1pm today after a night of partying till 4am....sat up and got ready for a day of rock climbing. Both of us put on our one piece suits stretchtights and headed into the mountains. We were the only 2 with our guide and we both did 7 climbs to around 10 meters high. Tenielle invented a new rock climbing move called the Kneel Stepp and our guide thought we looked like we http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Chubut/blog-3004.html Pictures....finally Check out the site again for some pics of what weve been up to....feel free to add any comments... http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Chubut/blog-3021.html Penguins So we are pleased to say we finally made it to the beach The tide is really low here and so it takes a while to get to the water from the beach so its a good thing there was an outside shower near us because it is soooo hot just to rub it inI have a beautiful beat red farmers tan that i tried to even out at the beach but i am starting to get a bit of a striped effect along my arms... toda http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Chubut/Puerto-Madryn/blog-3106.html Who wouldve thunk it so we are back in buenos aires staying in a much nicer area of town called polermo. we have been busy site seeing in buenos aires. on friday night we had a canadian evening of shopping dinner and a movie los fockers. today we saw the grave of Evita and 2 minutes before we got there the camera ran out of battery good thing we got the video camera. We also did alot of market shopping and w http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Buenos-Aires/blog-3202.html El Calafate and Glacier Moreno Today was one of the most amazing times we have ever had. We took a tour to the glacier today and it was absolutely amazing. It is like the size of Isreal and is constantly moving so we got to see lots of big chunks falling off. We also did a trek and a boat ride. And amazingly it is not that cold even though we are almost at the end of the world. El Calafate on the other hand is a bit of a http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Argentina/Santa-Cruz/El-Calafate/blog-3306.html Montevideo Uruguay We have been in Montevideo for 4 days and absolutely love it here it has that small town feel but still in a big city. The best part has been how cheap it is here we are staying in a real hotel with cable tv for 10 dollars a night. we have to share a bed but hey we are almost the same person by now. We have spent our time here acting like real girls...shopping market shopping eating drink http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Uruguay/blog-3454.html Punta Del Esta we are in the land of heaven for 4 days. everything is SERIOUSLY right next door to each other.. beach casino hotel mall and shopping cinema and then beach again on the other side. somewhere inbetween we have also managed to find more mcdonalds icecream. this place is awesome but not cheap its like rodeo drive stuck between 2 white sandy beached. except the stores are open till 1 am. we mi http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Uruguay/East/Punta-del-Este/blog-3494.html Back to Brazil Well we arrived in Florianopolis finally on Saturday without sleeping in an actual bed since Wednesday night. We 039accidentally039 stayed out all night Thursday night walked home along the beach at 830 in the morning red bull still in hand and packed up our bags to check out of the hotel. We then became true bums we slept on the beach until it was too hot then we showered and change http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Brazil/Santa-Catarina/Florian-polis/blog-3735.html CARNIVAL okay so we haven't exactly got a posting on here for a week but we haven't really done much of any other errands here we have just been too busy. I am currently very sick with a whisper of a voice left and a cough that sounds very similar to TB. As well I have started my malaria medication which seems to make everything float i am starting to feel like a bit of a skitzo. Regardless i now http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Brazil/Rio-de-Janeiro/blog-4077.html Foz de Iguazu so after recovering from the trauma our bodies went through in carnival we suffered another 24 hour bus ride with no air conditioning to Foz de Iguacu. We met Cindy and Johnny at the bus station because we were both trying to figure out how to get to Bolivia from here and we have been travelling together ever since.Besides the sketchy hotel with the influx of single old men and the filling up http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Brazil/Paran-/Foz-do-Igua-u/blog-4240.html Guess What We are in Chile ola from santiago chile.we kinda completely changed our plans in a matter of 15 minutes and decided to not chance the roads in bolivia but instead travel 3000 kilometers back in the other direction for chile. We spent 18 hours on a NON airconditioned bus to go back to Buenos Aires for the 4th time. Let me tell you...I do not recommend taking this bus when it is plus 47 degrees with no wind and http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Chile/Santiago-Region/Santiago/blog-4348.html We SURVIVED Bolivia...barely So after4 days with 7 people packed into a jeep over the plains of Bolivia..we are back in the civilization of Chile.Bolivia had amazing landscape but the book was not kidding when they described it as barren and frigid. We dont mean to undermine the hardcore backpackers but we tried it and we are just not that hardcore. Picture the extreme simple life paris and nicole meet bolivia.Oh....whe http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Bolivia/Potosi-Department/Uyuni/blog-4554.html The Floating Islands So after recovering from the 4 day jeep trek we took our last long bus ride to Puno Peru. We rode on the local bus another 20 hours and it was very interesting. To start once again no airconditioning and no window in our seat. AND the people who did have windows kept closing them even though sweat continued to pour down their faces and the women were wearing at least 4 alpaca knit sweaters. http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Peru/Puno/Lake-Titicaca-/Uros-Island/blog-4971.html Panama City and the Panama Canal So we finally arrived in Panama City yesterday and actually slept the entire day exhausted from the all nighter in the airport. We went to the causeway and the Miraflores locks today in the Panama Canal. It was so cool to finally figure out how the locks worked and we got to see 2 huge vessels pass through them. We were in amazement despite the fact that the locks were neither pretty to look http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Panama/Panama/Panama-City/blog-4975.html Absolute Paradise Just an update to let everyone know what we have been up to...and the answer is alot of nothing. Actually alot has happened. We spent 3 nights in the Boca islands on the carribean side of Panama and Dejan you were right these were the best beaches we have seen. On the 3rd day after I went for a long walk in the heat of the day i came back quite tired and thirsty. Thinking that this combinati http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Costa-Rica/Limon/Puerto-Viejo-de-Talamanca/blog-5286.html
