Hilton Head Island is an island off the coast of S. Carolina. Hilton Head, although only 12 miles by 6 miles offers ro much to do within it's beaches. Largely a retirement community and golfers paradise, it has been visited by millions of people seeking a relaxing vacation filled with golf, top restaurants, tennis, bike paths, walking, wildlife preserves and of course it's 12 miles of seamless sandy beach. Sea Pines and Harbor Town (home to the Verizon golf Tournament) is always high on the tourists list to see. With very reasonable hotel/rental accommodations, it has been a tourist destination for many decades. Whats not to love? There is something for everyone and is highly family friendly.
