Growing tired of beautiful city after beautiful city in Europe we were dying for a change. Something exciting. Something unlike home unlike Europe. Well we found it.We arrived to the Narai Hotel on Silom Road thanks to our sponsor Blair Leslie. He had arranged a pick up from the airport and 4 nights in a good hotel. Unfortunately when we arrived at the airport our pick http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/Central-Thailand/Bangkok/blog-354686.html The Last of Europe Well we now had a few more days in Munich which meant another night at Oktoberfest Sunday was the last day of Oktoberfest so i felt obliged to dress up for the occasion. Nicky could only join us for half the day so it meant that there was a spare Lederhosen lying around with my name on it That day i bought a hat and shirt to top off the outfit and Kell borrowed one of Susan's traditional jack http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/blog-354638.html Switzerland Our final adventure in Europe. Our plans of heading to Spain had gone out the window along with a stack of Euro's. So we were heading to Asia early to ease our bank accounts but not before a short stop in Switzerland and another few days in Munich. We took the train to Zrich from Munich with no problems at all. So far so good. Upon arrival I somehow miscalculated how long we had till we needed http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Switzerland/North-West/Lucerne/blog-354077.html Bavaria Munchen Oktoberfest Because of our distrust of the computers in Thailand actual photos will not be available till we are homeThere's nothing like getting off one train and then straight onto another. There's also nothing like being given wrong directions from someone that looks like a reliable staff member. After walking around Hauptbahnhof Central Station for half an hour we eventually found the UBarn to E http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/blog-349850.html Prague Pics will come if i find themOk well im sitting in a net cafe on an island in Thailand. Prague seemed like an eternity ago. So this will be poor.Prague hmmmm. Um well hmmmm. We were only in Prague 3 or 4 nights i think. We didn't really do much. Prague was good though because it was cheap. Because of this we decided to go on an organised tour of the city which is something we were yet t http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Czech-Republic/Prague/blog-349849.html Still to come Quick Update Ok well Kell and I have been busy and there hasnt been the best internet access around hence the blog hasnt moved for a while.Still to come isPragueMunichLucernMunich yes againBangkokChiang MaiHanoiSapaHa Long BayHanoi FloodHue Where we met up with Ben not Leslie from SydneyHoi An Where we met Ben Leslie and SuzyHo Chi Minh with Mekong Trip and Chu Chi Tunnels TripSiem ReapA Stupid Bus http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Cambodia/South/Phnom-Penh/blog-346074.html dresden.alt The alternative capital of Germany Dresden was very cool. The main square in the old town however was not so cool it was under construction and totally ruined the vibe. There were awesome buildings and Churches that had been shot up but the allies in the Old Town. And the new town was full of Punks drinking and busking on the streets. We had booked a 4 bed dorm in a hotelhostel we had checke http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Saxony/Dresden/blog-340196.html Death Threats and Robbery in Hanoi Breaking NewsWow OK sWhat a day.Our last day in Hanoi and we had done nothing so far but watch movies and sleep in our hotel. As soon as you go outside you will be scammed and hassled until you have no money. On a previous day we had been asked for VD 100000 for a bag of bananas and a portion of pineapple i got the lady down to VD 30000 which still seemed a rip off but what could you http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/Red-River-Delta/Hanoi/blog-337955.html Curry 36 Berlin We arrived at Merringdam UBahn Station mid morning it was cold real cold and did our best follow the directions to our hostel. Unfortunately I had forgotten to write to down the address of the place all we had were directions that looked like they were written in German and put through a translation program on the Internet not good. Half an hour to fortyfive minutes later we arrived. The pla http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/District-of-Berlin/Berlin/blog-337565.html Riding the Streets of Amsterdam. Hey lovelies yelled a big black mama gesturing to Kell and I as we wandered through the Red Light District. People watching in Amsterdam is much more interesting then it was in Paris. For those who have been there you know I'm talking about and to those who haven't it's not hard to imagine. Our hostel was pretty poor we were in a four bed dorm sharing with two girls who probably found as http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Netherlands/North-Holland/Amsterdam/blog-337162.html Oui Oui Paris Never Fails The fresh cool air of Paris blew gently on our faces as we made our way to our budget hotel. A thankful change from the heat and humidity of Venice. A small bakery caught my attention and we stopped for some fresh croissants. Words cannot describe how good croissants are in France. Unfortunately for us our stay was going to be a short one. We wanted around five nights each for Paris and Amsterda http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-336520.html Vencie Venice Venice.... We arrived in Venice in the afternoon. It was hot and packed with tourists. Everyone says you cant grasp the beauty of Venice from videos and movies and that its so amazing when your there. Most of those people are wrong. It's nice as a novelty but really i don't understand the hysteria around it. It's slightly cleaner then Bangkok and the only difference is in Bangkok a boat ride costs 15 Baht http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Veneto/Venice/blog-334192.html San Gimignano Ok San Gimignano was really cool. We took a bus to the station then a train to a Poggibonsi then a bus to San Gimignano. Bit of an effort and it was about this time that we realised we should have based ourselves in Florence. Not to worry. The bus dropped us off at the gates of the old walled city. We wandered around and nothing interesting happened. The city is beautiful though and puts Siena to http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/San-Gimignano/blog-330845.html Siena Camping Siena was good though maybe we were there a little long. Seven nights in total in a camp site. We had our own cabin which was great and we spend most of the time laying around doing nothing. We had been walking and walking around cities for so long it was great to veg out in natural kinda settings of the camping ground. We only went into Siena twice the whole time. It wasnt too impressive. It w http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Siena/blog-330836.html Avanti to Tuscany Well well well blog blog blog.Ok the blog should get going once again. Though to achieve this i will have to do brief summaries of whats been going on instead of the more detailed account. Until i get to where we are and can remember enough to make it interesting.Well Florence... This was so long ago... but Kell just came me the low down. I could barely remember. We arrived in Florence in the mor http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Florence/blog-325274.html Roma After waiting on the airphone for five minutes we were finally buzzed into the apartment block of our hostel 'floor five' we were told. We walked into the small dark lobby and headed for the old lift in front of us. Pressing the button again and again we soon realised it was out of order. This was the last thing we needed. We had been traveling since eight o' clock the night before. It was now http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome/blog-323381.html How do you solve a problem like Maria A train ride without incident What Come on what's going on Your kiding arn't yaNo no joke we got on the train. Sat down rode to Salzburg and got off. Great. Now we just need to get bus number one to some stop and walk a bit to the hostel. The bus was easy enough to find. It was sitting in the depot waiting to leave. We walked up to the bus driver one pack on our back and one on our stomach http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Austria/Salzburg-State/Salzburg/blog-322319.html Vienna in a Day The train ride to Vienna was not without incident. We boarded comfortably in Budapest found a seat sat down and it was the nicest train so far. The train seemed empty for a while till a whole bunch of Asian tourists started filling the cabins. That' weird we thought. We hadn't really seen any huge groups of Asians on the trains before. The train started to depart and there were only two other pe http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Austria/Vienna-State/Vienna/blog-319714.html Budapest.... We had heard nothing but good things about Budapest so we were excited to arrive. The train pulled in around 7am and we had to catch the Metro to our hostel. After ringing the hostel door bell for about 5min with no reply we decided we'd have to kill some time. We were starving and started to look for something to eat. Of course it was too early for any cafe's to be open except maybe the McCafe http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Hungary/Central-Hungary/Budapest/blog-315886.html Ciao Bella Yo yo yo whats up ho'sHello from Italy where the shopping is good and the people are hotHaha we on probably the tightest budget possible but we cant help shopping like everday.
